"Yikes, that was a close one," I said, lifting my head and managing a chuckle.
He chuckled back. "Sorry for that, I do that every time I close a remarkable business deal."
"You almost had me there," I said softly, rolling my eyes internally as I walked out of his penthouse.
Elena hurried to catch up behind me. Her face was a pale, sickly color; I hadn't noticed her reaction to the gunshot until now.
"Remind me never to come to business meetings with you," she gasped, holding her chest and breathing heavily.
"I'm tired. I need some sleep," I replied, holding a hand to my mouth as I let out a yawn. "How are the renovations on the mansion going?"
"It's going well. You can move back in tomorrow." She pressed the elevator button to summon the car.
I stepped into the elevator, and Elena followed right after me. I pressed the button for my floor.
"I'm thinking of going to Paris for Christmas." I said muttering out my words. Elena eyes would pop out.
"Paris?! Doesn't your mother live in Paris, Ophelia."she said in a frantic tone on the side of my, staring at me like she's about to die.
"Im going to reconnect with family, I heard my Grandmother is dying and you know I love that woman." I said stepping out the elevator as reached my floor.
"We'll talk more about this later." Before she could say anything I closed the door, my back leaning against it my eyes close trying to relax.
I sat on the floor then when I opened my eyes I saw Lyssa running towards me not giving me time to get up she jumped on me and hugged me tight.
"Hey, pretty girl." I tangled my fingers in her light brown hair as I hugged her.
Lyssa was eight years old, she has pale skin and light brown hair to go with it she had beautiful hazel eyes and freckles lined her cheeks across her nose.
"I missed you aunty she hugged me tighter." She said in an excited tone.
"I missed you too, but you're going to squeeze the life out of me." I chuckled getting up from the ground, holding her in my hands.
"You've gotten so heavy, but baby who brought you here."I asked.
"Mommy did she's in the living room."
My eyes would open wide, she never stays I said in my head. I walked to the living room, She was their biting on her nails her light brown hair like Alyssa own messy some cover her her face. She turned around and saw me, she instantly pull her nails from her mouth.
"Hey, Lelly." She said scratching the back of her head.
"Anna, is something wrong you never stay after you drop off Lyssa." I said while glancing at Lyssa then back at her.
she shaked her head.
"It's Ryan again, he just gets mad and I didn't want to be in the house."She said biting on her nails once again.
My eyes glazed with anger.
"Im going to kill Ryan, did he put his hands on either of you?!" I said while trying to keep my composure in-front of Alyssa.
She nodded her head and turned around, then thats when I finally saw a tear drop on the floor and she started to weep.
I stepped out the living room and went to the front door slamming the door with rage, in a couple of minutes I made my way to the car garage on floor F-2 and I unlocked my pink Aston Martin db 9, my baby. I got into the drivers seat and inserted my key and I sped out of the car garage.
I arrived at Ryan's two story beautiful built Victorian house, I must say the house was a beauty but the lies that built it isn't. I got out of my car and slammed the door, not bothering to knock on the front door as I stormed right in the grand foyer that had beautiful victorian furniture highlighting the victorian wallpaper. I stepped closer toward Ryan pulling out my gun and pressing it into Ryan's back. He was bending over trying to pick up something, pretty sure I startled the bastard, I keeped the cold metal pressed on his back.
"What the hell, Ophelia?" He said in a frantic tone sweat drips from his forehead, I noticed how his body started to shake with fear. I slid my gun down his back, positioning it in the back of his head.
"YOU HURT THEM, AND ILL BLAST YOUR BRAINS FOR IT." I snarled, kneeing him in the hip. He let out a whimper as he fell face flat landing on the hard wood floor. I rolled him over positing my gun in his mouth, I crotched down next to him tilting my head.
"Ophelia, whatever Anna told you she's lying, I swear she's lying." He said in a ragged breath, sweat lined his hairline, he panted. Yet, he was wasting his breath because I knew he was lying.
"Ryan, I believe you so let's play a game I'll give you 10 seconds to run then I will come for you and if I catch you I kill you."
I said coldly, staring at him blankly moving my gun sliding it in my pocket holding up my ten fingers. He breathed heavily staring at me,
"Run"
I chuckled twirling around with a wicked smile on my face as he got up and dashed up the stairs.
"Pathetic, Now Lelly's coming for you."
I walked up the stairs making sure my footsteps were quiet, as soon as I reached the top of the stairs a horrible stench filled the whole floor, men are such stink animals, I never understood how people married such men.
I walked over to the heavy breathing I could have heard from downstairs. I positioned my gun at the top of Ryan's hair his brunette hair ruffled up on one side of his head from all the running he had been doing.
I whispered in his ear
"Didn't I say Lelly was coming for you, why are you so scared."
I tilted my head, he muttered something under his breath
"Hell"
"You'll be there very soon, I promise to make it short."
"Im already there, your a spawn of satan himself."
He spat the words out, his voice raw.
I pulled the trigger, blood splattered everywhere, but I did tell him I would blast his brains. He said something that hurt me and he did something that killed me, and Im glad I was the one pulling the trigger on that i***t.
Blood dripped at the end of my curls I had done earlier, it made my dark brown hair look cool I liked the red tips I may try it sometime.
The blood was a bit noticeable on my red dress, but I had no care for it, I stepped on his head the blood came oozing from it. I walked downstairs not bothering to move the body as I walked back to my car leaving the house door open, I would sit in the driver seat of my car and speed out of there.
Throwing my gun in the backseat, I rolled my eyes knowing I would have to clean the blood off of my white seats or I could let one of my employees clean it for me but some of them are clueless idiots which is probably why by the end of the year, I'll end up killing some of them.
My phone would ring, the thoughts would escape my mind as I saw it was from a foreign number I answered the call.
"Ophelia dear, I missed you."
I dropped my phone in a state of shock.
