The Ballerina Performance 2

Lara POV I'm in front of the mirror finishing my makeup. These last few minutes before going on stage always get me nervous. I always thought the day would come when I wouldn't feel this, but it's the same in every performance. My green eyes reflect so many fears, but my professionalism prevents most of them from overlapping. Today ends this season. I love what I do, I really do! But my body, this time, is really exhausted. I feel pain in all the muscles my body has. Fortunately, today I´ll finish this and I will have more time to relax. The Gala that will follow is bothering me, then will I have is none. I have no other choice but to go. I knew I would regret joining this project... I sigh as I check the eyeliner in my eyes. Perfect! Actually, Sophie surprised me with the dress and shoes she chose and bought for me. They are stunning. But, of course, I won't tell her, she doesn't deserve any praise or reinforcement for what she did. I closed my eyes for a little meditation before getting up and heading to the stage. When I finally exhale deeply and open my eyes, my heart almost bursts out of my mouth. " You scared me", I say still recovering. Behind me is my Romeo, Rob, smiling broadly. "Sorry, I didn't say anything so as not to interrupt your last minutes of calm". The genuineness of his voice makes me smile. "I know my Romeo", I say returning the smile. His brown eyes are the sweetest thing I have ever seen. Rob is my peace, my calm, his arms are one of the best places I could be. "I didn't know I was ugly to the point of giving you a fright and tachycardia", he teases me. As I turned my chair and get up, I hugged him, recovering the calm and focus I´ll need. "Never, Rob. You are one of the most perfect men I know!" I reply, linking my arm with his. "Come on, my Julietta. It's our time!", he chuckles. We arrived on stage. I run my pointe shoes through the dust box. I roll my feet in the sand to make sure my pointe shoes don't slip on stage. I remove my feet, moving them in small circles, just like my ankles, preparing them for entry. I fill my lungs with air and take the stage. Kyle POV We're in the middle of the performance. My eyes are glued to the stage when I feel a weight hitting my shoulder. Caught by surprise, I turned slightly just to see Liam's head leaning against my shoulder. Oh heavens, he fell asleep! I can hear Dean's little chuckles. "Liam, wake up, the play isn't over yet," I mumbled, warning him. Liam's body shudders slightly, and straightens up very quickly, "I wasn't sleeping!" grumbles. "Oh, of course not!" I heard Dean saying and chuckling. I roll my eyes and laugh too. "Kyle, silence!" says Olga disapprovingly. I nod as I understood the warning and continued to watch the show. There were times when I confess I got lost in emotions, that woman is truly a goddess. Beautiful, powerful and there's something about her that holds my attention. Sadness? Fragility? I don´t know... it's hard not to look. I hear clapping, the brightness gradually increases and I am called to reality by the enthusiastic applause I hear coming from all sides. Several dancers enter, they say thanks and... my heart gallops when Lara enters the stage, once again, with Roberto. I smile and applaud too. However, my claps lose their vigor when I see them and their intertwined hands, gazes fixed on each other with happy and broad smiles. I can't understand those emotions I feel... I don't even know her. How can I feel this tightness in my stomach? How can I feel anger increasing when I look at them?
