The Football Player

2009 Words
Kyle Martin POV I sigh in irritation. I was sleeping so well but this light coming into the room is making it impossible to sleep anymore. How did I forget to close the curtains? I return from the dream world to reality, trying to gather the courage to get up and go to the window to close it. This hangover doesn't help either. Aff, I sigh again. I turned around in the bed and saw that I am accompanied. I can't help but smile a little. What more can I want from life? I have a dream career, and enough money to live the rest of my life comfortably. Not to mention I'm lucky, women fall at my feet. Some for my money, others for my physique. Yes, I'm not going to pretend I don't know I'm attractive. Really, who wants to know the reasons? I laugh to myself. I'm not looking for relationships, just s*x. I don´t care what their reasons are. I just want them on my bed, table, or whatever... Finally, I gather my strength. I grab the cell phone that is on the bedside table next to me. 23 missed calls, wow. I look at the time and get scared. I thought it was early in the morning and after all its near lunchtime. I had a scheduled meeting with Thomas. I missed it. Pffff. I get up and go take a quick shower, I have to go to the meeting or Thomas will kill me this time. I'm in the shower when I feel someone come in and join me. I feel hands on my back, her breasts pressing on my back, and I´m starting to get hard... It's the model I spent the night with, which name I really forgot. I turn around, facing the beauty that has joined me. Her blue eyes, perfect face, and breasts against my abdomen continue to produce effects that are not beneficial for those who are in a hurry. Her hands, which are now on my chest, begin to get down on my body, and "Ahhh..." I can't help but moan and I surrender to lust again... and again... Thomas will really have to wait a little longer, I think, between moans. After getting dressed and giving the lady my number, her performance more than deserved it. I chuckled to myself, as I remember our heat moments. I turned my wheels, got the keys, and went to my garage. I pick my red Ferrari and speed deal Thomas, getting ready for getting scolded. I deserve it, I'm pushing his nerves lately. "Kyle Martin, we were supposed to have a meeting two hours ago," he yells from the other side. Oh God, this isn't going to be easy. "Thomas, I know and I'm really sorry. Something happened and it was impossible to show up in time, but I'm on my way to meet you. Where are you?", I say trying to amend his anger. "The something happened has two legs and long hair I bet or its called hangover", Thomas's hard voice screams. This man really knows me. I laugh to myself. "Well, come to my office, let's talk here quickly because I have a business lunch next and I can't be late," he tells me signing on the phone. "Sure," I replied and pressed the car accelerator, laughing at his previous statement. Thomas is like a father to me, he is also my agent. He's in his 50s, married, and has a life that seems perfect, but not like the one I want for me. He started being my agent when I was 14, he took my career to the highest level and for that I am grateful. However, he wants me to be more responsible and says that the life I lead, sooner or later, will weigh on my career. In the last few months, he has been trying to keep me busy with other business activities in order to expand my life beyond football. And I, I have to confess, that I have made everything hard and a mess. I want to enjoy life and not have to be constantly tied to work. After all, I already have enough money for two generations. But I understand his concerns and I actually know that one-day football will end and I will have to have other businesses and other ambitions, so I have allowed these ad and investment proposals that Thomas has been suggesting. I arrived at Thomas' office, and was greeted by his assistant Reina." Oh Kyle, be patient and listen to what he says, he is really upset with you, dear", she says as she pats my shoulder and gives an encouraging look indicating that I can enter the room. I knock lightly on the door before entering. The room is large with plenty of light, coming from a window that occupies an entire wall and goes from ceiling to floor. The living room is decorated in a contemporary style and every time I enter here I never fail to admire the space. Thomas is looking out the magnificent window with his back to me. Thomas is a tall, athletic man, no one would give him 50. If he wasn't married he would certainly still be a hit with women. I thought with a smile on my face. "I'm sorry..." I started to say but was interrupted by his angry voice. "Keep it to yourself. We know you're not sorry, but every time we set up meetings it's this. Kyle, you are my most successful client, but more than that, you are like a son to me. And these behaviors of yours only make me unhappy. Show that you are mixing the freedom I gave you by considering you a son with professional limits. Or you start behaving like any other client of mine, responsibly, or I will have to transfer your client's account to another agent", he turns just after his lasts words. "Do you understand?" he asks gazing at me hard. I spend a few seconds not knowing what to say. I don't like being called out like a little kid and that annoys me. But the reality of his words hits me hard and I can't help but agree with him. I have crossed the line. I get worried, the last thing I want is to let him down or feel like I'm going to ruin the relationship we have because I can't be responsible enough. Guilt once again has begun to take hold of me... I try hard but the words won't come out. "Kyle, so what's it going to be like?" the coldness of his voice just shows how much I've stretched his patience. "Thomas, it won't happen again," I said, pulling my gaze away from his. I feel ashamed to realize that he is actually busy and that he has schedules and other meetings and that I interfere negatively. "Good", he says sighing to me and heading from the window to his desk, walking past me and lightly placing the palm of his hand on my shoulder as he heads towards his executive chair. "Sit down", he orders seriously and I obey almost instinctively. "The Deior brand has a new project. It will bring together personalities from various areas and will promote advertising and social campaigns for the brand. These campaigns will have a global weight and not just a local one". I listen as I take the documents he hands me. "Besides the advertisements, you will have to enroll in various events related to the careers of those involved, you will have to visit schools for children that look to you as an example. Sponsor the distribution of scholarships to some of the children who could become stars in their professional areas. It has not only focused on the brand image, but also on the social responsibility of the brand. It will occupy some of your free time, as it is a project that will last about three months. What do you think?", he asks while I'm still busy reading everything, and after explaining it all carefully, to me. This will take up a lot of time. I can't help but think about helping some of these kids. I can´t risk my relationship with Thomas anymore. The decision is made. "I accept! It will be an opportunity to help some children, who know, I might even be able to sponsor others individually", I mutter, as I read the description of the project regarding the grants. "I hear you. I thought exactly the same" Thomas smiled it's a warm one now showing some pride. Could it be? "Your partner will be Lara Rodriguez" he informs me, handing over a new folder. "Lara Rodriguez? Who is her?" I don´t remember hearing her name before. "I've never heard of her", I confess, grabbing the folder and opening the cover. "She is a ballet dancer. The critics say she is one of the best dancers of all time. As you can see, if you turn the page you are reading, it is a real beauty". The information I receive increases my curiosity and when I change the page of the file I have in hand, my heart seems to skip a beat. A photo of Lara's face, with a tiara adorning her ballerina hairstyle. The smile she has looks so genuine that, without me understanding why but it makes me smile too. Her big green eyes convey something. It's odd, when I'm always surrounded by beautiful women, to feel this fascination for this woman, who I saw for the first time and in a photograph. "Yes, truly perfect" I mutter while looking at the other photos in the file. All the photos, are of Lara as a dancer. I don't know anything about ballet. Her delicate shape and the expression in her eyes, by themselves, already impressed me. I have to admit there is something that makes me admire her. "... and Roberto will be with you too", I hear Thomas' voice calling me back to reality, but in fact, I didn't hear anything he said. "Roberto? Who is Roberto?" I ask, shifting in my chair and focusing my gaze back on my agent. "Kyle, didn't you hear anything I said?" he grumbled at my question, clenching his fist in his pen as he spoke. "Sorry, I was reading the file and missed the last part of our conversation", I confessed. "Who is Robert?" I question again. "Roberto Puente, also known as Rob Puente, is another ballet star. Also Portuguese by nationality and was Lara´s partner in the latest Kingdom play, Romeo and Juliette. All the ballet world called them the perfect pair. There are rumors that their relationship goes far beyond the stage. They are just rumors because, in reality, both have a life away from the spotlight". This information doesn't make me happy, I don't even know why. "And he will also be an integral part of the project, as I mentioned before, and will be with you in most of the planned events". "Oh, I'll serve as a candle then, awesome", I vented with some anger at that realization. "Not really, Kyle. She will always be your partner. The project rules are clear. And the same goes for you. No chasing women's tails during events. Professionalism above all!". Thomas explained calmly, though I could feel his request to be a bad boy. I couldn't help but chuckle slightly and nod my head to his words. "Can I count on you then, Kyle?" he asks me, focusing his gaze on mine. "Sure", rising from my chair and extending my arm for a gentleman's handshake, which he immediately acquiesced with a smile. "Now go and deal with that hangover and those dark circles under your eyes! Tomorrow you have early training and I have to leave immediately too", he says in a paternal tone and follows me to the door.
