Lara POV

"Why did you hit him?" I asked Kyle while approaching Liam to help. But he pushed me and if it wasn't for Joseph, I would have fallen to the ground.

"You're lucky Kyle was the first one to hit you, because if it had been me, believe me, it would have been a lot worse." Rob yells at Liam.

"Oh f**k, what did you do Liam?" Dean asks as he gets close to us.

"Me? Why does it have to be me? Saint Kyle never does anything, does he?" Liam shouts and rushes off. We can see him grabbing his things and leaving. Tolga goes after him, but Yas stops him from continuing.

"Are you OK?" Kyle asks me as he watches me from head to toe. And then he hugged me. I'm so shocked.

"Don't be mad at him, he was only defending you!" Rob protests. "Liam deserved a lot more than that!" He says angrily. Sophie hugs him, trying to help him calm down.

"Liam has crossed all the boundaries of what is acceptable, "Sophie says.

Kyle is waving the hand he punched Liam with and that's when I realized that he had also been hurt.

"Let me see!" His fingers are swelling, so I wonder what Liam's face looks like now. I sigh. I took Kyle's hand and led him back to the beach house. He has to get some ice on it.

We go to my room, after collecting ice in the kitchen, and I lock the door, lest Liam want some kind of revenge.

I'll help him put ice on it. We sat side by side in silence.

After a few minutes, Kyle interrupts the silence and looks at me sharply.

"Lara, what I said on the beach is the truth. I want to be your boyfriend. I want you to be mine! Will you give me a chance?" he asks with some hesitation.

"Kyle, I'll be honest. I want to, because my body has never desired anyone the way it desires you. But we are from different worlds. I don't want anyone who cheats on me, I don't want to be in the press, and I don't want to be at parties." I told him, because I know I should end this now.

"What if I tell you that I won't cheat on you, I'll avoid the press as much as possible, and I won't ask you to come to parties with me? He tries to negotiate with me.

"What if I tell you that I have never felt this attraction to anyone? This need to protect, to be close, to want you all and only for myself. Do you believe me?" He asks me, holding my hand.

"We could try. But Kyle, I won't put up with this kind of jealous behavior, it's ridiculous. If I'm with you and as long as I am, it's because I want to be, there won't be room for anyone else." As soon as I finish, he grabs me and kisses me fervently. But before things get out of hand, someone knocks on the door.

"I can't believe it." Kyle mutters with annoyance and I laugh.

"It's Dean, Kyle. I need to talk to you urgently." We heard from the other side and opened the door.

"Kyle, Liam says he sent a press release with a picture of him. He said you assaulted him over Lara, and says he's going to put a lawsuit on it." Dean quickly informs him.

"Oh God!" Our relationship has barely started and what I didn't want is already happening.

Kyle takes my hand and intertwines his fingers in mine.

"Dean, he insulted her, treated her like a w***e. I can't allow anyone to talk about my girlfriend like that." Kyle tells him with a smile on his face. I just felt like hitting him now. In the midst of this chaos, this is the way he informs me that we now have a relationship.

Dean is surprised but quickly gives us a genuine smile. He hugs us both, congratulating us.

"He's a good boy, Lara. You just have to be patient and you'll see that the ugly duckling turns into a swan." Dean says, teasing Kyle.

"Me? Ugly duckling?" Kyle shakes his head and smiles at his friend.

"Sorry, but I don't think this is the time to talk about our relationship. Liam will sue you!" I told them, surprised at how lightly they were handling the situation.

"Ah, about that... Liam always says he's going to tell all our secrets to the press, but nothing ever happens. Let him calm down and we'll talk to him soon." Kyle suggested, and I looked at him incredulously.

"Has this happened before?" I asked them.

"I've never hit him before, but yes, we've had other problems." Kyle tells me, kissing my forehead in an act of affection that makes me blush.

"If I were you, I wouldn't neglect this. He's really very upset. I've never seen him like this!" Dean confesses to us.

"But why? I don't understand!" I am in complete confusion. I really can't understand what drove that behavior.

"Liam is an excellent person but very spoiled. He wanted you, but out of respect for Rob, he never did anything. He thought you were boyfriend and girlfriend. " Dean begins by telling him. "Of course, Kyle never told him how close you two were. Kyle is not one to brag about his relationships. I knew because he vented to me, but I always kept your secret." Dean try to reassure me about what i requested him so that i doesn't misinterpret the situations.

"When he saw you two together, he felt hurt. Because Kyle got what he wanted in his mind, he was the first to say he wanted him. Therefore, he was the one with the right over you." Dean's explanation scares me. How can anyone in this day and age still be so narrow-minded about women, as if they have no say in the matter? Liam disappointed me a lot, because I am a human being, I am independent and I make my own choices.

"Don't worry about it. I'll deal with this later." Kyle tries to reassure me, but now I'm the one filled with the desire to show Liam the back of my hand.
