My mind kept jingling and jingling in her words. I felt on top of the world. She had actually said that!

I nodded and held her hand in a handshake. Unlike Varun's, mine lasted with her for long.

She blushed a bit at my words. So did I.
But just then an arm went around her back, and in came the man of the show. Her hubby with Raju on his shoulders, walked and groaned,
'Party's over. Get going"
I growled deep inside.
The distress on Malavika's face was so sure, that change in her posture and the feeling of her body shrinking; that fake smile she had shifted onto,
'Aww, Raju...did you have fun?", she took her son into her arms.
'Raju needs sleep, mommy"
"Sure..sure", she cuddled him and gave me one last glance, before she walked
