CHAPTER 12 “That was some landing,” Brooke commented, pulling her carryon out from under the seat in front of her. “Well, it’s windy,” Kenneth pointed out. “I’m glad it wasn’t worse.” She glanced at him. “I had no idea someone with such a dark complexion could turn green.” “Brooke, please,” he muttered, swallowing hard. Brooke stroked his cheek, enjoying the sensation of coarse stubble beneath her fingers. “I’m sorry.
