CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO “MR. HART, Mr. Haifa is out at my desk, and would like to see you again if you have a few minutes.” As much as Logan had tried purposely to shield Myrna Brock from all that was going on with the OCC’s extended examination, and everything else that Logan was embroiled in relative to the government’s investigation into Paul Trotter’s death and Tariq Nasir, it had been difficult to do so. She was way too perceptive an individual. The traditional, disciplined approach she took to her position as his administrative assistant kept her from asking too many questions, but with Myrna, it wasn’t what she asked. It was what she didn’t. Her actions and the all-knowing tone of her voice told him she suspected something rather serious was afoot. “Thanks, Myrna, send him right in.”
