CHAPTER SIX
AHMED KHALID, alias Ismail Hamadi, worked two jobs for a supposed living, driving a cab and working as a crew supervisor for a growing Chicago area building maintenance contractor. He was a highly educated and degreed individual who could have under more normal circumstances found far better work for himself, but the anonymity of the more menial positions he had chosen far better suited the covert objectives of his current situation.
Khalid had entered the United States illegally, making his way to the city of Chicago, Illinois sometime during the middle part of 2016. Clandestine entry was difficult, but not impossible. The then current U.S. President and his administration had little interest in policing the country’s borders with its neighbors, both north and south.
