CHAPTER TEN
“STARTING THIS week out the way you ended it last Friday, aren’t you, Mr. Hart?”
“Huh?” Logan whirled around, thinking he was alone in the office. His assistant, Myrna Brock, seemed to be making a habit of popping in on him unannounced, particularly during the early morning hours when he was trying to get a head start on the day. “Uh, yeah, I guess so.” He chuckled.
“You were in early like this last Friday too. Kinda getting to be a regular thing for you, isn’t it?”
“Yes, but for the same reason as last week, Myrna. If you’ll remember, we’re supposed to meet with the examiners early again this morning, to finish what we started Friday.” Logan plopped his overloaded briefcase on his desk and sat down rather hard on his desk chair. Leaning back in his seat, he smiled a bit. M
