JANE
I've never wished for someone's death the way I wished for Jack's death.
Though I knew death wasn't an easy feat for a werewolf, I couldn't help but find myself fervently hoping he would just drop dead.
If only wishes were horses and he did, I envisioned visiting his grave every day, not to pay homage or show respect, but to thank the moon goddess for taking his life.
My long hair was in his grip, and he was yanking at it without any care in the world as if he wanted to tear it from my scalp.
My scalp tingled and burned, the pain far surpassing the beating I endured earlier from Evans. It was taking an immense reserve of womanly strength for me not to lose consciousness.
In the past, I'd seen scenes in movies where male heroes and villains grabbed women's hair, pulling it forcefully as they rammed in and out of them with sweat dribbling down their bodies. I've always wished to experience that just to know how it felt.
But not anymore. Not after this.
I must admit that those movie heroines were remarkably strong.
I doubt it could be me. No, it could never be.
Soon, we arrived at the sitting room and Jack roughly tossed me to the floor.
He treated me like an animal. I wanted to stand and give him a piece of mind but though my spirit was willing, my body was not. I could only lay there, my eyes red.
"Now," Jack said as he took his seat on my couch, crossing his legs as if he owned the house. "Why did you lock us out?"
"Jack, what is this? Why are you bothering to ask her such a redundant question? Isn't it already obvious that she did that because she doesn't have our money?
"We should beat her up and throw her out! There's really no need for all this!" Asher snapped, glaring at me so dangerously as if he couldn't wait to pounce on me.
I realized one thing. Asher was hot-tempered and had hot blood.
If it was left for him, I might have been receiving the beating of my life by now.
"Chill, buddy," Jack replied and flashed him a mischievous smile. "I plan to do more than just that. But what's the rush? The day has only just begun."
I stared at him. Though Jack was calm, I could tell he was the most dangerous among them. Then there was the other guy. I didn't know his name.
He just stood there as if he wasn't one of them. Suddenly, he turned his head and our gaze met. I felt my blood run cold and a chill run down my spine. I might have made a mistake. He seemed to be the most dangerous. He snickered as our eyes jammed and ran his gaze over me, from my head to my toe. His gaze rose back to my waist region and settled there.
It was as if he was seeing through me. I looked down to be sure I wasn't baring my p***y out to this creepy guy and sure I wasn't. I looked back up to see he had turned his gaze away and was looking at Jack. "If you have something planned, then start already, Jack, I'm becoming impatient."
His voice didn't sound harmful, rather soothing but the words made my blood churn. "So, b***h, why did you lock us out?"
Jack's question snapped me out of my trance. I stared at him, nibbling on my lower lip. Didn't he already know that so why was he still asking me?
Did he just want to taunt me?
I swallowed as I answered, "I didn't lock anyone out. I was sleeping."
"Oh, really?" He grinned. "Then why did try to escape?"
"Tha... That was because I don't have your money," I stuttered.
Anger flashed in his eyes and I thought he was going to lose it but he calmed himself down and asked,
"So how do you intend to pay us?"
"I..." I trailed off. I wanted to ask for more grace but I didn't know how to.
Jack stood up and began walking toward me. My heart skipped a beat and I immediately stood up, aiming to run as far away from him as I could but I had barely even taken a step when the creepy creditor suddenly moved and blocked my path. Before I could say 'Jack Robinson,' Asher also appeared.
It was as if they mind-linked or something.
"Wh... What are you three doing?" I gulped.
Jack covered the remaining space between us and cupped my chin. "Since you don't have our money," he breathed. "Don't you think you have to pay for it somehow?"
"And for locking us out," Asher continued. "Don't you think you deserve some sort of punishment?" He passed his tongue over his lips, his gaze dropping to my chest.
His intense gaze on me made my skin crawl. "Please don't hurt me," I begged. "I promise, I'll pay back your money soon. I'll not fail you this time, I promise."
"But we've already crossed that bridge now," the creepy creditor retorted and I felt him grab my ass.
I was wearing a skirt with panties. His grip was so firm that I felt it all over me.
"What are you doing?" I gasped.
He released my butt and started rubbing over it. "What does it seem like?" He let out a deep groan. "You are so beautiful.
"Since you can't pay the debt, don't you think it would be best if you paid with what you have? As a w***e, you should know how that works, don't you?"
"Actually, it's cold season, and I doubt that any guy would want to have her, so in some way, we would be doing her a favor."
Jack chuckled at Asher's words and looked at me. "What do you think? Would you want to pay for your debt with your body?"
He asked the question as if they would let me go if I said no. But I decided to try.
Lowering my gaze, I tried to use my brain as I said, "I'm sorry for locking you guys out. It was not my intention. Please forgive me. About the debt, please give me some more time. It's not like I won't love to use my body to pay for it but I'm pregnant. I can't."
"You are pregnant?" The creepy creditor asked in what seemed like an excited tone.
I looked at him and narrowed my eyes skeptically as I replied, "Yes."
"Hahaha," he laughed out loud. "So the rumors were true. Hah. That makes everything even more intense and sweet."
