"Rachel!" I felt a surge of relief as I yelled in tears and roughly snatched my hand away from the doctor, dashing over to her.
I had always seen Rachel as a friend but at this moment, I saw her as a savior.
One sent by the moon goddess to protect me. Without a word, I threw myself into her arms, sobs racking my throat.
"Jane," she whispered, hugging me back and rubbing my back. "What happened?"
"That... That doctor is crazy and a killer!" I stuttered and sniffled. "He planned to inject me and my baby to death."
"What?" Rachel's body stiffened. The next second, I was shoved out of her body as she erupted in a fit of rage.
"What is the meaning of that doctor? Did you really plan to inject my friend to death? Was that the reason you asked me out?!"
