0ur story opens in this distant future — one you will no longer find it difficult to imagine, I hope — in a school. Wait a minute, this school I must hasten to mention, is one for young animals, birds and denizens of the fledgling, a young animal nation, not for humans. These schools (or camps whatever we choose to call them as the animals have no name for it), as you will further read, would not be very different from one of our own summer camps for our children.
