“But as the days passed it became clear that the chase was no way going to end, the bad lot was in no way going to be captured easily and the siege was not going to end so quickly for the animals; for the forest was vast and could easily hide anyone who wanted to with ease. The stakes were loaded against the seekers in this game of hide and seek. Their paths crossed each other a few times and they both engaged in fighting, but the thick jungle easily allowed the evil band to escape each time. It so happened, that in one of the encounters between the two, the law-keepers suffered a severe setback, a few of them were killed and many injured, causing them to abandon the pursuit and temporarily withdraw from the forest.
