LEADING TO LOVE

CHAPTER FIVE: HOPE

AMANDA POV

As we are walking back i realize that the distance is quite far, "how did i walk this far?". When we finally got home i went in side but the woman didn't follow me in she is just standing out side so i thought she wouldn't want to come in base on the fact that our one room apartment have no furnitures, no good chairs, no table or even a fan and the woman is looking fancy so i guess our apartment won't be good for her.

Emilia was not in side so i had to call her name but no answer i continue to call her name while looking for her. I finally find her in the back of our apartment building looking at the wall i went to her but she didn't seem to notice so i place my hand on her shoulder to get her attention, she seems to be lost in thoughts. I told her about the woman, she is surprised but followed me to go and meet her.

I brought a long chair made from woods out and we all get seated.

"my name is Mrs Evelyn Moswell but you can call me Nana, sorry for coming unannounced adding that am a stranger but ever since we took your little sister here to the hospital i feel this connection with her, is there any thing wrong? you can tell me okay" she placed a hand on Emilia's shoulder the way mummy would.

With tears in her eyes Emilia told her everything, you can see the shock on her face maybe she also can't believe the person she met not up to two months ago is gone life is really unexpected. She asked if we had buried her.

"No ma'am that is another problem we don't know what to do and neither our father's family nor mother's family will be willing to help, her body is still in the hospital's mortuary ". You can feel the hopelessness in Emilia's voice.

"Please don't cry, we will find a way out okay, only you girls can't stay here all alone i have a friend in DUXU country she is nice and work's for the government she have an adopted son, i will talk to her so that after the burial you girls can go stay with her and am sure your education won't be an issue". She said consoling us, i can't believe someone can be this good to strangers.

TWO WEEKS LATER

The burial was done and am relieved that my mother is finally in a resting place, Nana took care of everything and every expenses which surprised me i mean is she that rich?. As she had said after the burial Emilia and i packed our things and went to DUXU country, as we got there the first thing i noticed was the woman's beautiful house and i can't believe i will be living here with my sister.

It was until later that night that we got to see the woman, well she looked really nice and the way she welcomed us was amazing she seemed to be happy to see us, Nana called us right after dinner.

" Emilia, Amanda do you like this place?" she asked, we both nod our head i mean is she kidding me this place is amazing and more importantly the woman looks nice.

"That is good am very happy but we have a tiny problem you see madam Gloria is not financially strong enough to cater for you and your sister including her son, you know she will have to cloth, feed and send you to a very good school there just not enough so Emilia, Amanda which one of you will stay here the other will follow me back to the country".

Emilia and i looked at each other and kept quiet, Nana observed this and told us we have all night to decide that she will always look out for us which brought a smile to my face.

"Amanda, you heard what Nana said one of us have to go back with her and Amanda you also know i need to complete my schooling in a good school so as to get a chance in to a good university in the future, Amanda please can you go back with Nana i promise when i graduate i will take good care of you please Amanda your sister really need this" Emilia said when we got in to the room in the house that was given to us to pass the night.

"But i don't want us to separate, i don't want you to leave me please don't leave me mummy is gone please don't go please" I can't help but cry what year is this? how can i lose my mother and sister?.

"Amanda am not leaving you i will always visit you and will always call as soon as i settled down okay, please don't cry i promise to always visit you as soon as everything calms down and we will be talking everyday " she consoled me, i wasn't really happy with this but it is what she wants and i can't say otherwise the only thing i could do is to support my sister.

The next morning i went back with Nana, not sure of my fate but Nana assured me it will be fine. We we first got back it was already late i didn't pay much attention to the environment or the house but the room which i slept in was nice. The next morning Nana woke me up for breakfast after which she told me to prepare that we will be going to a school for my registration.

I couldn't believe it i will be starting school, i didn't even waste a moment and got ready as soon as we step outside i realized that this is not just a house this is a huge mansion which brought up a lot of questions in my mind.

"Nana please don't be offended but where are we? who owns this big house?" i asked when i couldn't stop my self from thinking and worrying.

"oh! this is the house of Mr Elmoora" she answered calmly

"sorry again Nana but who is this Mr Elmoora and why are we here?" i asked again

"He was the man that you threw a stone at and the man that took you to the hospital after the accident, you remember" Nana said smiling and you could tell she was trying to tease me.

"Actually Amanda, i called him when madam Gloria said both you and your sister can't stay there together so he suggested i bring you" Nana continued

"But i didn't even want to be here i don't want to be separated from my sister" i said sadly

"I know Amanda but to think of it your sister likes it there and you and i know she wouldn't have agreed to follow us back here and she promised to visit so don't be sad okay " Nana said with a big smile.

"Nana, where is the Mr Elmoora " i asked but before Nana could answer we arrived at the school gate.
