CHAPTER SIX: THE MIRACLE

AMANDA POV

The first thing you will notice as soon as you step your feet in the school is how fancy, beautiful and rich it looks. The registration went well and i was given books, textbooks, uniforms etc. I was so excited i can't believe i will be starting school and a fancy one for that matter.

I started the Elmoora International Schools ( E.I.S). I was excited but find it hard to catch up because at the age of seven am starting school, i talked to Nana and she promised to get me enrolled in extra lessons which she did, that with my determination i started to get better but i find elementary school not easy.

I was surprised how things are turning out i didn't expect that in this life time i will ever attend ( E.I.S ), but i still misses Emilia i hope she will come and see me soon.

It has been three months, everything was going well Nana has been taking care of me i feel so lucky, the house we are living in is so beautiful all due it is servants quarter but it is amazing i usually wonder how the big house will look like from the inside and i don't have the guts to ask Nana.

I am really not very good in making friends so i was always alone, during term examination i was sitting near a girl and a boy i think i have seen them somewhere but we never really speak to each other before the examination started the boy asked if i have a spare pencil and i said yes that was the beginning of my friendship with Olivia and Nicolas, the three of us are inseparable we share and do everything together, we were like the best trio. Olivia is older than me and i am older than Nicolas but we were born in the same year but different months.

Olivia was the star of our group she is so talented, she can sing, play the piano, play soccer it is like she can do anything on the other hand Nicolas is the fashion designer like even at our age he already have a collection of amazing designs he created. My friends are very cool and can do amazing things except me well according to Nana i haven't discovered my potentials.

Olivia Spencer and Nicolas Reid are the best of the best, they made me feel welcomed regardless of the fact that we are not from the same background, Olivia's parents are rich the dad owned a business and the Mom works in a big company. Nicolas is not left out too because the dad is a medical doctor and mother a lawyer, i could say they are my best friends we share everything together.

"Amanda hope you won't mind i will like to ask you a question" Nicolas said on our way back from school.

"no problem you can ask" i reply looking at him with a smile on my face.

"how did you enter this school?, sorry i mean you told us you are an orphan" he asked looking at me as trying to see if i was angry.

"Amanda please don't be offended even i want to know you always talk about your Nana please tell us" Olivia added, i wouldn't help but laugh i mean aren't we best friends they can ask me about anything i wouldn't mind.

"sorry for laughing at you but of course i won't mind you asking i didn't tell you because you never asked" i said still laughing, i later told them about how i got the news of my mother's death, our journey to DUXU country, how i got separated from my sister Emilia etc.

"wow Amanda Vincent you have quite a sad story, we are so sorry" Olivia said but i could feel she was feeling more amazed than pity.

Soon we got to the junction that separates us and we all went home. On getting to the gate i saw a lot of tall and big men wearing suits they didn't even allow me in. I didn't dare to enter the gate i was so scared that i couldn't move my legs, soon the gate open and Nana came out i ran and hug her.

"Amanda! my dear don't be scared okay it is just that Mr Elmoora is back so there will be a lot of securities" she explained to calm me down.

It was late at night but i couldn't sleep, i thought of waking Nana but she seemed tired so i decided to take a walk around the back of our apartment. While walking around i heard something a sound coming from a cartoon i love watching movies especially cartoons so i have to take a look and go back immediately.

On getting to the window of the room the sound is coming from, i notice that no body is in but i didn't mind i just watch the cartoon. When it ends i turned to return to our room when i heard foot steps coming behind me i quickly turned around only to see a man, very good looking man, he is tall and huge. He was just standing there looking at me which scared the hell out of me.

"who are you?, what are you doing here?, is this your room?, am so sorry, i was just watching a cartoon" i continue to talk and talk but the man did not reply nor answer the questions. i started to feel stupid but the handsome man kind of look familiar

"go back to your room now" the man deep and dominating voice sounded, i didn't waste a moment and run to my room while making sure i didn't wake Nana up.

TEN YEARS LATER:

I was standing in front of the mirror in my room checking my dress and make up. I can't believe am turning 17yrs old today, got admitted to the best university in the country and above, Elmoora University ( E.U). Yes the one and only Elmoora, Olivia and Nicolas will always say am lucky but they don't know it is not just luck it is also a miracle.

Everything was going well, Olivia, Nicolas and i both graduated high school with good results with out ever repeating any class. Nicolas got admitted into the best fashion institution in the country and will soon be on his way in to becoming a great fashion designer. On the other hand Olivia got in to another university and would be studying business related course but she is always in to music and is secretly attending music classes behind her parents back, you can say they are not too supportive of Olivia doing music.

I got admitted into medical line it was like a dream come true, everything is okay Nana have been taking good care of me, i remember the day my first menstrual period came now when i think of it i can't help but laugh. I have not been able to see my sister Emilia but we do talk on the phone once in a while, i think she is enjoying DUXU a lot. She kept saying she will visit but never did.

Surprisingly she called me this morning to wish me a happy birthday, she said she have graduated from the university and is currently working in a very famous company but she didn't tell me the name and i never bother to ask. I spoke with madam Gloria also this morning, we talk but not always that doesn't mean i don't like i really do. Emilia don't live with them anymore but she said she visits almost all the time she would get.

Madam Gloria have retired but open a small business. I will always love and respect her for everything she has done for Emilia. It is a small birthday party with just Nana, Olivia, Nicolas and few security and domestic workers. The dress and the makeup is for a photoshoot Olivia and Nicolas booked for me.

The next morning, i was sleeping when i heard some noise coming out side, i tried to ignore it but didn't work the sound of cars coming in and everything, i went to go and see what was going on but saw Nana in the kitchen.

"the noise woke you up? well it is time to get up dear" she said with a big smile on her face.

"Nana what is this noise coming out side" i help but ask

"oh it is Mr Elmoora, he is back" she answered casually with out looking at me

"again?" i froze to the ground.
