Chapter seventeen

Emma’s POV

**RING RING RING!!!**

I wake up, to the alarm going off. Leo must’ve gotten into bed after I was asleep, I was so tired after that hell of a day that I didn’t even feel him.   I shut the alarm off and take a deep breathe; yesterday is over but I still gotta deal with today.

I turn around to see my mate still sound asleep, boy is he a heavy sleeper. I still remember our first night sleeping together... I was so nervous, but now im glad to be here. Its been hard thus far with everything thats happened with Johnny but hopefully after the superiors get here and everything is over I’ll be able to get back to what im supposed to be doing, being with my mate and being a Luna.

I put my hand on his chest, that inflates and releases every couple of seconds. Man, even the way he breathes is fantastic. I start working my way up his neck and into his face. When I grab his cheek with my whole hand I simply smile and say “Good Morning babe” he slightly opens his eyes and simply says “we’ll see” he takes me into his arms and provides a tight hug, then releases me and tells me “I guess its time to start the day” I nod at him. 

The longer we wait the worst I guess but to be honest, I was already dreading it. My wolf had bad vibes and was literally yelling at me. I do everything I can to push it aside as I can clearly see that Leo has something in his mind as well. He doesn’t need anything coming out of me to make it worst. 

Leo gets up and heads to the shower. I brush my hair in front of the body length mirror in the corner of the room while I wait for him to be done. He comes out of the shower and begins to dress, I give him a gentle kiss and head to the bathroom myself. 

By the time I came out Leo was gone, but Val was in the room waiting for me. She had picked out a pair of shoes for me and said pair them with whatever you want, we need to go on a jog. I wanted to so bad, but duty was first I was unaware of what leo needed today and I knew he was feeling uneasy. 

I stared at her for a little bit and she suddenly added. “Fine, we can wait a little bit for waters to settle but at least fill me in whats going on?”

I smiled at her and sat on the bed. We had a long chat ahead of us. 

Ivan’s POV.

With leo’s permission I had been secretly coming to see cheryl. We already had a plan on how to rescue her and cheryl and I had planed to meet at the super market today. I was already here but she was late and she is never late. I started to worry. 

Should I contact leo? I don’t wanna worry him today though the superiors should arrive by tonight. 

I look at my watch one more time and when I bring my head up she is there running towards me but there are some men following her. Cheryl has some of her clothe ripped and she is bleeding in her face. She reaches me and I am furious to see what happened to her. Before I can even think any further my wolf takes over and I switch right in the middle of the super market with all the humans there. 

I growl at them and get into fighting position while keeping cheryl behind me. One of them brings a gun out and tried to point at me. Now, all the people in the supermarket are screaming. Luckily I am friends with the owner Joey and when he sees the gun pointing at me he brings out his rifle and points at Cheryl’s husband and yells to him to get the F*ck out of there. 

He stares at me, points and says “this isn’t over you have to come out at some point and when you do we will all be waiting for you, you monster.” They exit the super market. 

Ok, at this point Im positive I need to call leo. But first, I turn around and look at cheryl. 

“What did they do to you?”- these are my first words as I switch back. She is crying in the floor. Joey brings over some water for her to drink. 

“Here sweetie calm down they cant do anything to you in here” - he says.

She begins, “ I was walking out of the house with the guards as I normally would and out of nowhere he said he was coming too. I got nervous but I continued didn’t want to raise any red flags but we were passing by the alley when one of them tried to pull me into it and begin trying to pull my clothe. I started screaming how could the possibly be doing this in front of him. Then he looked at me and said if you are not only my b***h then you are everybody’s. I understood at that point what was about to happen and I started kicking and punching all I could *sobs* and this guy saw and tried to stop it but they started beating him up really bad however he yelled run and I did and thats how I got here. I don’t know if he is still alive. *sobs again* “

At this point I have enough information to contact leo. I get him on the phone and tell him everything that happened. He says he’ll be here soon with backup. We hang up and I turn to Joey and Cheryl again. I lay eyes on her and she looks so hurt. 

IM GONNA KILL THAT MOTHERF*CKER!
