03: Chase By The Pack Warriors

I don't know how long I have been running for my dear life. I was already profusely sweating and exhausted but I still force myself to keep on running to get away as much as I can from that place where Benjie has imprisoned me for almost a year. By the time Benjie found out that I had escaped, I knew he would do anything to get me back, he holds so much grudge with me that he wouldn't just let me escape, he will surely do everything to find me because until now, he can't still accept that my mother is already dead and he put all the blame of my mother's death on me. My mother did everything to protect me from him but in the end, it wasn't enough to save me, Benjie killed her and as much as he thinks that it was just an accident, I know that it wasn't and that's why he loathes me so much. He couldn't accept that my mother chose to protect me from him.

> Let me take over, Freya, you're tired and we can get farther if you're in your wolf form. I just need a minute to rest. This land belongs to a pack, Freya, we need to get out of here now. You need to shift. We need to get out of this pack land now, Kodaline. They're not stopping and I'd rather die than be someone's slave or be an alpha's plaything to torture if he's bored, stress, or angry. We're almost in no man's land. They're still after us, what the f**k is wrong with these warriors? I'm going to shift now, we're in f*****g big trouble. < I said to Kodaline in my mind and didn't wait for her response. I shifted back into my human form and quickly put on the dress that I had tied earlier on my shoulder.

"What are you doing in our pack land?" The leader of the pack warrior asked with a not-so-friendly tone of his voice. The way these pack warriors surrounded me feels like they were seconds into tearing my limbs apart.

"I w-was just passing by," I nervously replied to the man, he just smirked at me as if he didn't believe me.

"Let me see your wolf's eyes," the man commanded causing me to swallow my saliva in immense nervousness. I slowly lift my head until our eyes met and I showed him Kodaline's eye color.

"Your eyes are still blue, it's either you're a new rogue or you've never killed anyone before." The man said and looked at the other warriors as if they were talking using their pack's mind link.

"I don't have hidden agenda. I haven't noticed that I was running in your land, I swear I was just passing by." I said to them as I slowly backed away and prepared myself to run again but they seemed to have read my mind and what I'm planning to do, they quickly grabbed my arms, and with their great strength, it was so easy for them to drag me back.

"Please, I swear I am not a threat. Let me go!" I shouted in defiance but it was as if they don't hear anything and keep on dragging me back to their pack land.

"Let me go, I am now in no man's land so technically you can't capture me," I complained to them and kicked the pack warrior that holding my left arm on his knee causing him to look at me with glaring eyes.

"You better shut your mouth if you still value yourself, and I don't care if you're a threat or not because you're still a rogue and alpha Michael loves torturing and killing rogues. You're in luck and alpha Michael will not be in the pack house until the next day, you still have a day left to cherish your dear life." The leader of the pack warriors said and then laughed softly at me as if there's something funny in what he just said.

I was trying to fight back but it seems so f*****g useless with four of them surrounding and dragging me back to their pack land. I can't help but calmly plead to the moon goddess to take my life right now, I was hoping that that the moon goddess will bestow me and my wolf with a painless death than suffer from days of torture and abuse from the alpha.

I did escape and survive from Benjie's months of torture and abuse but now it looks like there's no escaping from the ruthless alpha of this pack land.
