"Are you sure you two trust him if I really leave today?" Eli asked Audrey and Derek for the thousandth time.
I rolled my eyes.
"Just go, will ya?" I grumbled.
Eli sighed heavily.
"I'll be telling Mom and Dad everything. Including about that girl," he warned me as he grabbed his bags that were sitting next to the door.
"Good, tell them to research their future daughter-in-law. Otti's a great person." I replied, completely unbothered.
"Future daughter-in-law?" Derek whispered incredulously.
"He's obsessed with her," Eli stated with an eye roll.
"Yeah, but... when have you ever heard him talk like that?" Audrey asked. "Plus, he came home before 3 a.m. yesterday. On a Friday. When there were parties going on."
