"Your parents told me not to let you stay after today," Hal told me as I stood outside the library.
"I at least want to tell her that I won't be coming by anymore," I bit out.
Hal sighed, but otherwise didn't say anything.
I stared at Otti through the window of the library. She was working on her homework already, but I noticed that her eyes kept darting towards the door. She was waiting for me.
"I hate feeling like this," I murmured.
"It gets easier with time," Hal replied. "Trust me, bud, you'll understand when you're older. This girl, she'll be a thing of the past soon enough. You'll see."
