Pierce stopped walking. We were only a few feet from Kieran's car. Pierce pulled me to a stop, and turned to face me. I looked up into his light brown eyes.
"It was just what?" He asked.
I blew out a short breath.
"It was heartbreaking to see him so out of control, and... scary to see him struggle to get that control back, and ultimately... f-fail," I replied honestly.
Pierce gave me a small smile. He reached up to tuck my hair behind my ear. Then he cupped my cheek as I pouted up at him.
"Well, he calmed down eventually. How did that happen?" Pierce asked.
I smiled as I thought back on it.
"Uh, well, I just started talking to him, asking him questions. Then I kissed him. After telling him that things were good... He seemed okay. Maybe a little off still, but mostly okay." I said.
