I thought that I would see Otti at some point though. I might have shown up a bit late, and for the first year, I have no idea if we have any classes together or not. I wanted to let Otti go. Let go of this... obsession I have with her. So that she can have a normal last year of high school.
I thought I would see her though. I thought I'd catch sight of that breathtaking smile. Of those interesting eyes behind those large framed glasses. I wanted to see if her light brown hair had gotten a little longer over the summer.
I just wanted a damn glimpse, but the universe was too cruel for that, apparently.
I felt like a zombie the first half of the day. I could hear everyone around me talking, but I wasn't paying much attention. I just scrolled through my phone as I lounged on the bleachers.
