"Why were you gone so long earlier?" Derek asked as he drove us to my house.
We had to go to my house to get my stuff since I wasn't prepared. Derek hasn't wanted to come out to my parents yet, so I was going to ask Otti and Kieran to take me, but Derek offered. I couldn't believe it, but I wasn't going to argue.
"Long line at the bathrooms," I lied, uncomfortably.
Which must have shown, given the weird look Derek shot me.
"Really?" He asked.
"And the concessions," I added.
"Okay," Derek replied, clearly not believing me.
We pulled into my driveway, and Derek put the car in park.
"Are you nervous about tonight because you promised to do anything I want?" he asked softly.
