That night, Ethan's call came through.
His voice was already shaking the second he opened his mouth.
"I confronted her. She really was lying to me this whole time.
"I'm sorry, Stella. This is all my fault. She tricked me. I'm such a bastard."
Ethan started pouring out apology after apology.
He kept apologizing, one right after the other.
He sounded completely sincere. Those apologies definitely came from the heart.
