Adrian hadn’t meant for this to happen, but he was loving every minute. He’d never minded meeting “the parents.” Parents loved him. He was attractive, polite, funny and he treated their daughters like princesses—in public. They definitely didn’t want to know how he treated them in private. Their hair would turn even grayer but this mom wasn’t gray. She was hot. If Ellie aged like her mother whomever married her would be one lucky SOB.
“Mom, this is Adrian. He gave me a ride home. Adrian, this is my mom, Elizabeth.” Ellie raced through the introductions. “But he can’t stay. He has to go. Now. Because—”
“Nice to meet you, ma’am.” He held out his hand, ignoring Ellie.
“It’s nice to meet you too. Please, call me Liz.” Ellie’s mom took his hand in both of hers.
