“A hickey!” Ellie touched her neck. “Why would you...I can’t believe...Arghh.” She needed to leave now, or she was going to wipe that smug look off his handsome face with her fingernails. She spun around and hurried toward her building.
“Don’t forget to text me,” he called after her.
It was childish but she waved her middle finger at him over her shoulder. His laughter made her walk faster. She was going to kill him if she had to spend one more minute with him. She flung open the door and headed across the foyer. He was the most arrogant, brutish man she’d ever met, and she’d dated her share of alpha a-holes. A hickey? This day couldn’t get worse.
