My phone dings for the fifth time, but I don’t open my eyes. I’m not ready to deal with the world yet, not after last night. The continuous dings are grinding my gears. I groan, rolling over, grabbing it from the nightstand without even looking. The screen lights up, the brightness burning my retinas, flooding my face with notifications.
67 Messages. 14 Missed Calls. 10 Mentions. My heart skips a beat. I blink, trying to focus, but it’s all muddled together, texts from Jenna, Sutton, even people I don’t really talk to.
