Caden Two Weeks Later Two weeks. Two goddamn weeks of her pretending like I’m some invisible thing she can just ignore. I thought she was just being dramatic. I thought she was throwing some stupid tantrum because I dared to show up at her house. It’s more than that though. It’s the way she looks right through me in the halls. The way she brushes past me like I’m nothing but air, and it’s driving me insane. Every time I catch a glimpse of her, she’s surrounded by her friends. Always laughing. Always looking like nothing’s wrong, like she’s perfectly fine. I see the way her shoulders tense when she knows I’m near, and the way her eyes dart away the second she catches me staring.
