ROSALIE's POV I had always stood strong against everything and everyone, but when I saw him, something inside me collapsed for no reason I could understand. I felt like surrendering—to what or to whom, I didn’t know. In a life where I was constantly swimming against the tide, there was a part of me that just wanted to let go, to be carried away by the current. My fingers gripped the sleeve of his jacket so tightly, that even I was startled by how much I didn’t want to let go. He was trouble, a dangerous man whose name I didn’t even know properly, a man to whom I owed a debt. And yet, my fingers clung to him, stubbornly refusing to release him, as if holding onto something much deeper than the danger he represented. “At least let me make you a coffee to thank you for helping Leo and me.”
