Briella’s head jerked as the car moved over the rough road block. She didn’t know why they hadn’t blindfolded her or knocked her unconscious. And the thought terrified her more than anything. Because it meant one thing, they didn't plan on letting her live. She looked through the window immersed in the nature of this part of the world and the natural view made her calm a bit. Soon the vehicle came to a sudden stop in front of an old house down the woods. Without warning, the man in the passenger seat pulled a gun and shot the driver in the head. The gunshot tore through the silence, and Briella screamed before she could stop herself. “Shut up,” the man snarled, shoving the barrel toward her. “Unless you want to be next.” Her breath came in ragged gasps as he yanked her from the seat,
