Once I got out of the shower, I dressed in a knee-length dress. I picked up my phone to text Cole.
Me: I'm out of the shower. I also feed the kits.
Cole: K. Did u put the collar on Alice?
Me: Yes Dad.
Cole: I'm liking the sound of dat. How bout' a s******g???!!! HMMM???
Me: My butts sore enough from the rocks
Cole: Maybe later then
Cole: Hold on
15 seconds later...
Cole: Mom says she needs help w/ the animals
Cole: I'm at the door
I ran to the door, but Cole had already opened it. He grinned before saying,
" Did you leave the shower on?"
"Yes" I said.
"Thanks," he said, going to take a shower.
I walked to Mrs. Tillight's room, then I wished I hadn't. The sight that greeted me was a mess. I went into the bathroom, where Mrs. Tillight was. All I thought was WOW WOW WOW. She was on the floor, and a large phoenix was sprawled out, wings twisted at an odd angle. Blood stained the floor. I remember the first time I saw a phoenix. Alice had made a joke. Why are phoenix butts so important? They rise from their ashes! I had laughed at it then, but not now. The poor thing... anyways, I walked over to the headmistress, and she spotted me.
"I need you to pull the wing away from me when I say so." She ordered, straight to the business. I nodded, but stopped.
"Wait. I got healed because of the antidote. What if it works on this guy?" I suggested. She looked at me like I had grown 4 extra heads. I looked back, slowly bringing out the antidote from my pocket.
"It's worth a shot. Hopefully it won't kill Millie." Mrs. Tillight said, reluctantly. I sat down, and gently injected the bird. It thrashed and screeched, but after a while, the bones snapped into place, and the blood seeped back into it's skin. Mrs. Tillight looked at me when Millie stopped thrashing.
"So. What where you saying about the antidote healing you?"
