"What a mess in here!" Emma exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock as she entered the room. Before her, the floor was scattered with food crumbs, overturned water bowls, scattered litter, and, unfortunately, a few lifeless birds. I glanced at Cole, and he met my gaze with a furious expression.
"It's like a repeat of what happened in our room," Cole remarked, his voice laced with dismay.
"Hey, there's Alice and Rebel! How did they manage to escape?" I exclaimed, my surprise turning into determination as I hurried after Alice. Cole was right behind me, but the kittens were surprisingly agile. Before long, our teacher, Mrs. Tillight, joined the pursuit, followed closely by Emma, Gav, Frost, and Cea. After a bit of a struggle, we finally managed to catch the mischievous kittens.
"It looks like we definitely need to get a lock," I panted, with Cole nodding in agreement beside me.
"Well, it seems like our class time will be spent cleaning up this mess. Hauns, you'll take care of the food. Emma, please assist him with sorting the food and containers. Cea, you'll handle the water. Gavin, attend to the litter. I'll take care of the unfortunate birds, while Kat and Cole will look after the kittens," Mrs. Tillight declared, taking charge of the situation with authority. We all nodded in agreement, and soon, the classroom was transformed from chaos to cleanliness as we worked together to restore order.
"Hopefully that won't happen again. I hate cleaning up after those mischievous kittens," Cole grumbled.
"Agreed," I said, nodding in agreement.
"Well, our class time's over, but I'll see you back tomorrow. Classes have been canceled since Mr. Rike is sick, Mrs. Rike is tending to him, and Mrs. Gild is gone, tending to our mother," Mrs. Tillight said.
