Vampire Virus

Prologue

"YOU have to save her Damon, it's like pity, save her! Damon I'm begging you, save my daughter, Claudia...."

My mother was almost on her knees to a man whose face was covered with a black cloth when I found her after leaving our burning residence. I didn't think I would be able to get out of it in just a moment, I can't imagine how it happened.

My mother raised her head after hearing my raspy voice.

"Mom!" I ran to him and hugged him as my tears flowed.

"Clau, baby, how are you? Wait.....is something hurting you? Are you injured? How did you get out?" I just shook my head. "Oh god, thank you and you're safe, Clau..."

Mom just continued to cry while still hugging me.

I raised my head when I realized that we were with someone else.

I broke away from mom's hug and leaned her against a tree that was on our side. He fell asleep crying in my arms.

I stood up and properly stood in front of it. It's dark so I can't see his face but I know.....I know he's staring at my face right now.

'Why does he seem familiar? His eyes, the color of them.' The other part of my mind just said.

I recoiled in shock when he suddenly removed the barrier from his face.

'D-Damon?! How is he in front of me when I know that he is suffering now because of the virus that (I say) passed on to him?No-no way!'

"Da-damon? It's you!" I was planning to hug him when he suddenly shook causing me to almost hit a tree that was behind him earlier. It was really good and he grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

I looked at it with disgust. I stared at it wondering and frowning. He looked away.

"Da-damon?" I called his name with displeasure.

He looked at me again with a blank expression on his face. After a few moments it changed and bent down to hide it from me.

"Sorry, but I don't know you."
