"Mom! Look what I made for you!" Kai handed me a paper, with a picture drawn on it while I made food to take to my mom at the hospital. I knew how much hospital food sucked, and I wouldn't want my mom to eat bland, tasteless food while recovering.
My face lit up, and I smiled, but it immediately vanished the moment I saw the content of them drawing.
It was a drawing of a happy family. A father, mother and a little boy. The pictures looked nothing like me and Kai, but it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to know who the characters were supposed to represent.
It was me, his dad, and Kai.
The father and mother held each other lovingly, as they held their little boy between them.
I wanted to throw the picture away, and burn it, but I knew that would just upset him, and hurt
