I placed him on the floor, and we headed back to the table. Zane had finished his food, and was waiting patiently for us.
"Shall we go?"
I nodded, and we stood. We left the restaurant, and the ride home was quiet. Kai was fast asleep, and I could barely keep my eyes open.
The stress of the day had taken a toll on me, and all I wanted was a good night's rest.
Zane pulled into the garage, and we entered his house.
I took Kai upstairs to his room, ran hik a quick bath and put him to bed.
He looked so cute sleeping, and I couldn't help but run my fingers through his hair.
