Sunlight streamed through the window, lighting up the room. I stretched and yawned, before slowly opening my eyes and sitting up.
Kai was sleeping soundly beside me, and I smiled at the sight.
Then suddenly, a scent invaded my nose. It was faint, but I could tell it belonged to a male. A shiver ran down my spine and goosebumps appeared on my arms.
The scent was musky and masculine, with a hint of spice.
I looked around the room, searching for any signs of an intruder, but there were none.
My eyes scanned the room once more, and that's when I noticed a black patch of fur sticking out from the bottom of the comforter.
