(Some Years Ago)
It was slowly getting dark with the sun setting. The door clicked shut quietly behind him. "I'm home!" Rayne called out, taking off his school bag and dropping it on the floor beside him as he then proceeded to take off his shoes. As he bent down to take them off, he heard tiny footsteps running over toward him. He had his back turned to the direction it was coming from. He didn't have to look back, he already knew who those tiny eleven years old footsteps belong to.
"Rayne!" He heard her high pitched voice call out his name and he smiled. Before he could turn, she had jumped on his back, laughing and giggling. "You're back!"
"Hey little Ray" He called with a smile, holding her in place. She wrapped her small arms and legs around him as he piggybacked her to the direction of the sitting room.
"Look! Look!! Look!!!" She chanted from behind, showing him her wrists.
"Wow! That's nice" He smiled, staring at her new flowering bracelet.
"Mama and I made it" She stated happily, moving on his back with excitement.
"That is beautiful Little Ray" He commented, holding her firm so she wouldn't fall. "Hey ma" He greeted as they came up to the sitting room where their mother was, still seated and making some accessories.
"She's been waiting all day to show you that" Their mom stated with a smile, before looking up at her son who still had his little sister on his back. "You're not going to leave his side again today, are you?"
"No" She pouted.
"Maybe you should start following him to the academy then"
"Can I, can I??!!!" Raven's excitement showing.
"No" Their mother laughed and then turned to Rayne who was still smiling. "Here you go. I made this for you" She handed a neck piece to him.
"Thanks ma" He smiled, examining the neck piece. It was a black rope lace with a silver pendant made in the shape of an eye with the made eyeball in the middle painted red. "An Alpha eyes pendant" He commented
"Made for an Alpha" She smiled.
"Thanks" He smiled broadly. He appreciated it very much. "Put it on for me little Ray" He added, giving it to his little sister. Raven giggled happily, taking the neckpiece from him and helping him put it on. "Thanks" He stated when she pinned it.
"Can we go play now?" She asked, impatiently.
"Yeah let's go" He held her tighter and began heading to the backyard.
(Present Time)
Rayne sat down on the edge of the cliff, one knee up, one leg dangling down from the edge. He kept staring into the distance. Since he got there, he had been replaying those memories in his head like a broken record. His red Kemuri robe was laid down on the floor next to his sword. Sitting there in just his inner wear of a purely dark colored sleeveless rashguard that fitted his form and pronounced his cut build clearly, and it was tucked in equally dark pants.
He subconsciously raised his hand up and began fiddling with the neckpiece given to him by his mother. It was his most special jewelry. He sighed, his face housing a broken expression. Being just 21 years old, he had seen and taken part of enough tragedy to last a lifetime. He knew the burden he had to bear. It was one he chose and he wasn't going to crack now.
He heard footsteps approaching from behind but he didn't flinch as he had caught her scent. "What do you want?" He asked, still staring into the emptiness.
She stopped and scoffed lightly, standing just behind him. It amused her and at the same time made her angry how he didn't see her as a threat enough for him not to even flinch from her presence. She exhaled quietly and deeply before proceeding. "You're a hard wolf to track Rayne"
"Maybe that's because I don't want to be found" He replied with a cold voice, still not sparing her any glance.
"Well, now that I have tracked you down, I have an offer for you. An offer straight from the leader of the Red Lotus, Kane. Come join our group and our fight"
"And why would I do that? How does that benefit me?"
"Because then, you get to have your vengeance on Bluestone pack. They exiled you and made you an outcast and they also took something more precious to you than anything else. Family, and your wolf...." She paused when she saw him sideye her. "Yes, we know you can't shift because of the moonstone curse on the night you were exiled. You being a Direwolf is the only reason you can still use your Alpha eyes and ability. Instead of using a sword to replace your fangs and claws, won't you try to get your wolf back?" She questioned, hoping she was getting through to him. "We can offer you that if you join the Red lotus" She concluded her sales pitch and waited for his response.
Rayne stood up from the edge of the cliff, he picked up his dark red robe, put it on and zipped it up. With the hood down, he picked up his sword, held it in his hand and walked past her without saying a word of sparing her a glance. Storm said nothing but watched as he slowly disappeared out of sight. "A hard nut to crack huh. A Broken Kinslayer" She muttered to herself, before turning to stare down the cliff.

Kieran stood across from where Isabella was being buried. He looked over at the other side and saw Raven, crying into Kreed's arm. He felt a twinge of jealousy on seeing them together in that state. Immediately he felt that, he hated himself. He didn't want to be the one person who's being selfish on that solemn night. He looked over at his mother and the Alpha and they had a solemn look as well and also an angry one.
"Her heart was ripped out bitterly and angrily. This was done by someone with claws, someone that is brutally strong" Niklaus stated, muttering to himself.
Kieran who was standing beside him heard what he said and swiftly turned to look at him, staring with a puzzled look. "You still don't think it's Rayne, do you?"
Niklaus shifted his gaze to him with a small smile. "The Kinslayer? No...no I don't think it was him"
"Kinslayer?" Kieran asked with furrowed brows.
"Yeah...that's what he's known as out there in the world. He's quite popular for what he did, you know. Killing his own parents and more than two dozen wolves. He's been tagged with the infamous name, The Kinslayer....." He paused and his smile slowly faded as he brought his attention back to the grave. "But I don't think this was him. This isn't his MO"
"That's what I've been saying. No one wants to listen to me. They are all convinced it's him because he had broken into the house twice. I don't think it's him...." He paused and looked over at Raven who was trying to dry up her tears now. Because they were still linked with the mate bond, he could feel all her emotions. It made Kieran afraid when he felt the heartbreak, anger, hate and vengeance that she was feeling. He knew if he didn't intervene, she might go do something dangerous that would get her hurt or worse.
From the other side of the grave, Raven stood beside Kreed, his arm around her shoulder, trying to cheer her up. As soon as they finished covering up the grave, Raven's expression changed from a grieving one to an angered and vengeful one. "I'm going to kill him Kreed, I'm going to kill Rayne myself for this and for my parents. I will kill him"

Scar stood up from his seat and walked into the dimly lit part of the cave where they always use as their hideout. Stepping into the dim lit, the three members present there with him realized his robe was undone and he didn't have his inner wear on, safe for his mask. It was a first time sight for them. His whole body from the neck down to his wrists and waist was all covered in a white gauze. His black clothe mask was tucked into the gauze around his neck.
He stopped right in front of them, his glowing red eyes fixed on them. "The Red Lotus are making more moves and it doesn't seem as though they'll be slowing down anytime soon. Which means it's time to make a major move of ours. With Rayne out on a mission, it'll be just you three who's going to take on the mission. This is a big move and it must be completed. You are going after a Direwolf like yourselves, but not just any other Direwolf, a former member of the Black Lotus. Don't underestimate your target" He explained
"Of course" Axle nodded
"Finally some action!" Blue smiled broadly.
"So who is it we are going after?" Darcel asked, standing up, ready to carry out his mission.
