Chapter 22 At Bondi Beach Adi parked the motorbike and he and Lisa ordered fish and chips from a busy takeaway on Campbell Parade. The warm night had brought dozens of people onto the streets, but a salt breeze was beginning to bite through their clothes. With helmets in one hand and their white paper packages of fish and chips in the other, they made their way towards the headland at the southern end of the beach. A path led around the edge of the sandstone escarpment, and on until they came to a sheltered overhang that faced out to sea. Adi pulled a sarong from his backpack, spread it on the rocky ground, and they sat down on it.
