His heart bleeds at the sight " what have I done? " he gasps at the realization of his recklessness , all his life he's been running away , has not once made an attempt to stand up for himself , to take charge , to fight!.

" That's alright , have her locked up in the the red cells , fed twice a day , she shall have no visitors until the time of the trial is here " lucerys makes an order , all signs of sorrow washing away from his eyes , a cocky smirk displaying instantly.

His uncle Minho is shook to the core , hours ago lucerys was fearful for his omega but now he looks as if he do not care , he scoffs.

Levana is baffled , heart cracking at lucery's words , feeling her feet run cold and blood thicken " no " she breaks down , really didn't expect lucerys to turn against her.

" Did you say something love? " he says , walking closer to her , for the first time levana cannot recognize the look in jungkook's eyes.

" say something? w***e? , you were my whore...pretty little w***e , you helped me escape , bedded with me unlawfully and now carry a bastard child ... Tell me , do you not deserve a punishment such as this? " he spits , his grip on levana's jaw tight , looking at them one would think they hate each other immensely.

Levana blames herself for being weak , her heart and mind reminding her that this cannot be lucerys and she will not suffer a fate like this " there has to be another way " she mutters , tears slipping past her eyes as she shivers , their eyes locked on each other and its then she sees it despite the tears blurring her sight.

That glow , that spark of delight...of love that lucerys has carried for all this years after their elope , then it clicks ...this is all a plan , an act so she plays along , freeing herself from lucerys's grip as if she were disgusted by his touch.

" very well then , see you on the day of the trial " lucerys says , stepping away as the guards take levana to her cell.

" something is not right and I'm not falling for this " Minho says to himself.

" seems like I'll have to get rid of my pathetic excuse of an uncle first " lucerys mutters to himself on the other hand.

Its been days.

After several cleansing and settling back in the palace , although he is yet to set eyes on his father , he has had baths in riches and water purer than the skies.

Busy clothing himself when a butler walks in " your grace , your advisor is here to see you "

" send him in " lucerys says , adjusting his shirt cuffs.

He snaps his head up , recognizing the voice....oh it has been so long

" Leon , my friend " he says cheerfully , moving towards each other as they embrace.

" you've grown so much " lucerys says , observing him...looking him up and down.

" so how are you liking your stay here , you know? After you fled " leon hits the nail on the head.

" tell me , scold me , that what I had done was wrong and stupid and I should have done better and not wrap an innocent omega into this mess " he grows slightly annoyed.

" you need to be composed now more than ever lucerys , mind you...I saw you flee the castle that night , and as your friend and advisor I swore secrecy to you , I dare not speak against our next king , I knew your wishes and respected them and I still do " leon assures.

" now that I have returned , I plan on taking back the palace , I have decided no more running away and that my omega deserves a better life , that of a royal not hiding away in some cabin with a coward alpha " lucerys expresses.
