Loving The Envy

Sixteen

"You ready?" Enzo asks me walking into my house.

We're going on my private jet. The only ones riding with me are Envy, Enzo, Gionni, and Anex.

"Yeah." I say shortly.

"Where's Envy?" He asks me as if I know.

"I don't know. I told her to be down here 20 minutes ago." I say with a shrug. Pretending not to care.

"Dude go get her." He says and shakes his head at me:

"She's a grown woman." I say

"Yeah but you know how she is." He says to me.

I let out a huff and go to get her. I knock on her door and she says to come in but her voice is low.

I open the door and she's sitting on the bed with her head down. She's all packed and ready. I don't know why she's upset.

"What's wrong with you?" I ask her with an attitude. I really don't have time for her emotions.

"I-I called my parents." Is all she says and I let out a sigh.

Those horrible people.

"What happened?" I ask her and sit on the bed beside her.

"I told them I was going to Italy with you and your family because I was excited. All they said was that I should find a nice black man to be with instead of you and they said that if I hear from my sister tell her to call them. Then they hung up." She says sadly wiping her eyes.

I f*****g hate her parents.

"I can take them out if you want." I suggest and she shakes her head.

"It just hurts that they don't love me. I haven't done anything wrong and they just don't like me." She says while looking at me.

"Obviously they are idiots. If they want to treat you like that then just leave them alone. You can't force people to be on your side or love you. If they don't like you then they are stupid because your amazing." I say to her honestly. She looks at me with a soft smile and says thank you then she gives me a hug.

"Okay we gotta go now." I say and break up the hug.

"So, are you excited to see your grandparents?" Envy asks me while standing up from her bed and putting on her crocs. I guess she plans to sleep on the jet cause she's wearing pajamas.

"Yeah, I haven't seen them in a while." I say and grab two of her bags.

"I get it. I miss my grandparents too." She says with a small smile and grabs her other bags to bring them down the stairs.

I don't say anything. I just walk out of her room.

She'll talk my head off if I let her. We have to go.

About 2 hours later we're finally on the jet.

Envy talked so much while we were in the limo. I put my AirPods in and ignored her.

"Bro, my dad told me that Sofia is gonna be at the party." Enzo says to me and my eyes widen.

"Why?" I ask him and sit up in my seat.

"Don't know but you better warn Envy that you'll be sneaking off to f**k Sofia and leaving her alone." He says with a laugh.

See Sofia is my go to woman when I'm in Italy. She's sexy, tall, bold, and she f***s like an animal. Whenever I'm in Italy I spend some time with her. She's not like Roxanne or even Julia. She's smart, and she has potential. My grandparents love her and her family. They want us to get married but I doubt that will happen.

But now I have a problem. I have to keep Envy and Sofia apart. It'll be hard.

"You have to keep her busy for me." I say with a sigh.

"Um no. Did you forget about Gia?" He says with a chuckle.

Then I groan. Gia is his fling in Italy. Her and Sofia are cousins and best friends. This is gonna be bad.

"Well then maybe she'll stay with Gionni or something." I say and shrug.

I have no idea what to do with Envy. I forgot about Sofia.

"Maybe. Imma go get her. She's in the back talking the stewardess' head off." He says with a chuckle. Then he walks off and I let out a sigh.

I decide to go to sleep. It's been a long day and I have a feeling tomorrows gonna be even longer.

Hours Later:

"Mr Morelli. We're here." I hear someone say and I wake up from my sleep.

"Thanks." I grumble and stand up stretching. I notice that everyone is up besides Envy. She's sleeping with her head on Anex's lap.

"Wake her up." I say with a sigh. I'm too tired and jet lagged to yell at him or her.

I go into the bathroom and quickly brush my teeth and wash my face.

When I come back Envy is up and she goes right into the bathroom after me.

"Where are we staying?" Gionni asks me and stretches.

"I don't know where you losers are staying but I'm staying in my house." I say with a shrug and start to grab my bags.

Yes I have a house in Italy. I plan on moving here eventually. It's a bigger mansion than my one in Jersey.

"Why can't we stay there?" Anex asks me looking confused.

"Cause he wants alone time with Sofia." Enzo says with a laugh.

"Who's Sofia?" Envy asks walking out of the bathroom with a smile on her face.

"No one." I say with a grumble and she shrugs.

"Okay so what's the plans today?" She asks me with a smile.

"Get you into a hotel. I have one of my drivers and security guards that will be with you at all times." I say to her and she nods her head.

"Your gonna make her stay at a hotel?" Enzo asks me.

"I'll be fine." She says quickly.

"It's on the top floor. The place is like an apartment. She'll be fine." I say and then walk away from all of them.

"Someone's moody today." Envy whispers loudly with a giggle.

They all grab their bags besides Envy. She brought too much stuff to carry by herself.

I walk off the jet and some security guards, and servants are standing outside. I quickly order them to get mine and Envy's bags.

I go to my limo and get in. Then I get a text message.

Sofia- I heard you're back😌.

And so it starts. I ignore her message.

Minutes later the others get in the Limo too and we're off to the hotel to drop Envy off. The family is meeting together for a late lunch at my grandparents mansion.

We get to the hotel and I check Envy in and give her all the information she needs.

Then I get back in the limo and the driver takes me to my mansion which is about 30 minutes from the hotel.

"Dude, Gia already texted me. They are coming to the lunch." Enzo says and puts his bags down in my house.

I decided to let him and my brothers stay here. I couldn't let Envy stay because it would be too dangerous for her.

"I'm going to shower." Gionni says and walks up my long stairs to find a guest room to settle in.

"Be ready in an hour and 30." I say to Enzo and Anex. Then I make my way up the stairs too.

I shower and get myself dressed for the dinner. Of course the dress code is semi-formal.

I finish dressing and getting ready and I make my way down stairs.

The guys are also ready. So we all walk out to the limo.

"Did you make sure Envy would be there on time. You know how grandfather is about being on time." Gionni says while looking at me.

"She'll be a couple minutes late but she's coming." Enzo answers for me.

He probably texted her or something.

About an hour later we finally pull up to my grandparents house.

I thank the driver and we all get out. There are cars everywhere.

We walk to gate and I put in the code so it opens and lets us in.

"You think Gia and Sofia are in there?" Enzo asks me and I shrug.

"Probably." I say knowing that they do anything to spend as much time with us as possible.

We get to the front door and I ring the doorbell. It immediately opens but it's not the usual maid. It's some guy. He looks to be about my age.

"Welcome." He says with a smile and opens the door.

"Who are you?" Anex asks him looking confused.

"I'm not allowed to speak to the guest." He says while avoiding eye contact.

He's an up to date form of an indentured servant. I don't know why or who he is but if he does anything wrong they'll probably hurt him. We don't say anything to him. We just walk past him and into the house.

"My boys." My grandma says and walks into the room we're we are with a smile on her face. We all greet her with a smile and kiss her cheek.

"Everyone is in the ballroom." She says with a smile. Then snaps her fingers. The guy rushes away.

Damn grandma.

"Nona, who is that?" Gionni asks my grandmother talking about that guy.

"His mother is sick so he's filling in." She says

"Now come." She says and then leads us through the house and up the stairs to the huge ballroom where there is a huge table and a bunch of family is sitting around it just chatting.

I see Sofia and Gia sitting down. With seats empty beside both of them. I'm assuming that's for me and Enzo.

"Sit, and have conversations." My grandma orders us. We take our seats, Gionni, and Anex are on the other side.

Sofia immediately looks at me with a smile. She looks pretty in her red dress.

"Long time no see." She says with a laugh.

"Yeah it's been a while." I say with a chuckle.

"I've been missing you." She says into my ear.

"I know." I say with a smirk.

We start up a conversation like we always do. Then the hall room door opens.

"Envy darling I'm so glad you came." I hear Tabitha say and I quickly look over my shoulder and I see Envy walking in with that servant guy beside her. She looks f*****g gorgeous.

"Who's that?" Sofia asks and she sounds jealous and disgusted.

Envy walks over to the table and goes to the only open seat. The one that's directly in front of me.

The guy pulls out her seat for her. Envy politely says thank you to him and gives him one of her beautiful smiles and sits down.

She's so beautiful. I can't take my eyes off of her.

"Who are you?" I hear my grandfather ask Envy with a snarl.

"Oh I'm sorry, I'm Envy. Nice to meet you all." She says with a smile

"Why are you here?" My grandmother asks looking annoyed.

"Mother Melinda, she works for Armani." Tabitha answers for Envy.

"Doing what?" She asks.

"Oh I work at the bakery with Angelina." She says and sends a smile over to Angelina whose sitting pretty far from us.

"Since when does the help dine with us?" Gia asks with a chuckle and then sips her wine.

"Yeah, I thought this was a sophisticated event." Sofia says adding on to her cousins comment.

"It is. I don't know why she is here but she must leave." My grandmother says with an attitude. I look at Envy and she's still smiling.

I feel horrible right now.

"That's fine." Envy says with a smile and stands up.

"Mother." My dad says also feeling a little bad for Envy.

"It's okay. I'll just go and hang out with the other helpers." Envy says and slightly makes eye contact with me. I look in her eyes and she doesn't look sad. She looks drained. She looks away from me and then walks right out of the room.

"Anyways, babe I think that we should go on a date tomorrow." Sofia says and leans into me with a smile.

I don't say anything. I look over to Enzo and he looks shocked but pissed off.

"I just remembered I forgot to do something. It was nice seeing you all." Enzo says and then stands up from the table.

"But they haven't even served lunch yet." His father says while looking at him.

"Not hungry." He says and then walks right out of the ball room.

He's gonna go find Envy.

"Well anyways. Antonio go get the food." My grandfather says to the server guy. He nods and walks back out.

"Does Enzo like that woman or something?" Sofia asks me with a scoff.

"No." I say with a shrug.

"Why would she even come here? She looks like a slut. She doesn't even belong here." She says to me and then sips her wine.

I don't say anything.

The lunch goes on and I'm quiet the whole time. I can't believe they treated Envy like that. Eventually, Gionni, and Anex left too. I couldn't.

At the end of the lunch Sofia decides to pull me away to talk.

"You seem different. What's the matter?" She asks me with a pout and rubs on my chest.

"I'm fine." I say to her in a short tone.

"I hope it's not about that black girl. Armani she doesn't belong here or with us." She says with a laugh.

"Yeah. I'm leaving." I say finally having enough of this nonsense.

"Will I see you tomorrow?" She asks me with a seductive smile.

"Not likely." I say and then walk away from her. Leaving her with a shocked look on her face.

I quickly pull out my phone and text Enzo.

Me- where are you?

He doesn't text back.

"Sir." The Antonio guy says to me.

I walk over to him.

"What?"

"Envy and the others went back to her hotel room." He says politely but his face lights up as soon as he says Envy's name.

Fuck no.

"Thanks. If you even think of looking at her again I'll carve your eyes out." I say with a sinister grin on my face. His face pales and he nods fastly.

Pussy

I walk out of my grandparents house and get in the limo and instruct the driver to take me to the hotel that Envy is staying in.

I go in and up to the top floor and knock on the door of the room that Envy is staying in.

The door opens and it's not Enzo, Gionni, Anex OR Envy.

It's my cousin Marcelo. The black sheep of the family. He wasn't even invited to the birthday party or the dinner. He had a falling out with my grandparents when he turned 18. They disowned and disinherited him.

"Why are you here." I ask and push past him. He has a stupid grin on his face.

"Envy invited me. I ran into her and Enzo outside of our grandparents house. Sweet girl." He says with a smirk.

I walk past him and into the room. Envy is on the phone with someone. My brothers and Enzo are just sitting around talking.

"Look who decided to show up." Enzo says with a smirk and looks at me.

"I had to stay." I say and take a seat on one of the empty chairs.

"Yeah grandpa everyone is so nice! Italy is beautiful. I miss you guys though. Tell grandma I'll send her some pictures tomorrow when I go out with my new friend. Yeah. Okay. Definitely. Okay I'll see you soon. Love you too." Envy says on her phone and then she hangs it up with a smile on her face.

She was lying to her grandfather.

"Why'd you lie to him?" Anex asks her with a confused look.

"He's very overprotective and I didn't want him to stress about me." She says with a smile.

"Who's your new friend?" I ask her.

"Marcelo. He said he's gonna take me shopping and out dancing." She says with a smile while looking at him.

Hell no.

"I thought you wanted me to take you sight seeing." I say trying to hide my jealousy.

"Well Enzo told me about your little fling with Sofia and I don't wanna mess that up." She says and her face does waver from her previous smile.

Does this girl not get jealous?

Or does she just not like me?

"Change of plans, we're all going out tomorrow." I say sternly.

"All?" She says looking confused.

"Me, you, Sofia, Enzo, Gia, Gionni, Anex, and Marcelo." I say and she tilts her head but nods at me.

"When did we plan that?" Gionni asks looking amused knowing I'm jealous of Envy and Marcelo going out alone.

"Now." I say with a shrug.

"Well as long as I get to see some fine Italian men I'm fine. Now I'm tired so all of you get out." She says with a smile standing up from the bed and shooing us out of her room.

"No need to be so pushy." Enzo says with a laugh.

"Well I have to prepare myself for tomorrow. You two are attracted to some rude women and I need to pray and calm my nerves before I spend the day with all you guys." She says talking to me and Enzo.

"Well I like my women sweet and polite." Marcelo says and looks at Envy.

"Well let's hope the other men in Italy think the same thing." She says with a chuckle.

When we get to the door she kisses everyone cheek but me and then shuts the door in our faces.

"Damn." Gionni says and laughs at me.

"f**k you." I say in an angry tone and then walk away from them.

Why didn't she kiss my cheek?
