Loving The Envy

Seventeen

I wake up early the next morning to get ready so we all can go out. We are all going to the hotel that Envy is staying at before we go anywhere. It's closer to the places that we're going sight seeing at.

"The girls are here." Enzo says to me walking right in my room without walking.

"Okay." I say and straighten out my shirt.

"Why are they coming again. After what they said to Envy I'm not really feeling Gia." He says and rubs his neck.

I get it I guess.

"It's just one day." I say with a shrug and then spray on some cologne.

I look great today.

"You know Envy is gonna cry today right?" He says to me and crosses his arms.

She cries almost everyday. It's nothing new or unexpected.

"And?" I say and walk out my room and he follows behind me.

"And it's her first time in Italy. She doesn't need to be crying." He says and shuts my room door following me down the hall to the stairs.

"Look you tell Gia to chill and I'll tell Sofia to chill. Envy will be fine." I say with a sigh while going down the stairs.

"Okay." He says as we get down the stairs.

Anex and Gionni are sitting on the couch.

"Finally." Gionni says looking at me and Gio and he stands up.

"We're driving today. No limo." I say to them and they nod.

Well I'm driving. I rented a SUV that fits all of us in it and it's outside now.

We all walk out the house and I drive us to the Sofia's house first to pick her and Gia up. They both excitedly get in the car. Sofia gets in the passenger seat and Gia gets in the seat in the second row beside Enzo. Who looks annoyed.

"Babe, where are we going?" Sofia asks me and leans closer to me.

I hate her perfume. It's strong and she smells like flowers.

I prefer Vanilla or a cinnamon scent on a girl.

"To pick up Envy. Also watch your mouth today. She doesn't know you. She will never know you and I don't care to deal with any nonsense today." I say sternly while looking over to her quickly. She immediately nods. But she has a smirk on her face.

"Same goes to you Gia." Enzo says to her. I don't know if she nods or not.

I drive to the hotel and it's pretty silent in here.

I go to open the door to get Envy but Gionni stops me.

"She's coming out now." He says to me.

A couple minutes later Envy walks out of the hotel and there a strange dirty guy talking to her and Marcelo is on the other side of her.

Of course she looks amazing. She’s wearing a tight Jean skirt that shows off her sexy curves, and white cropped tank top with blue words on it.

She has a jacket in her arms and a purse. She doesn't have on a wig today. She has her natural curls out.

She's talking to the dirty man and she opens her purse and hands him what looks like some money and then her and Marcelo walk over to the car.

I roll down my window to talk to her.

"Hey, I'm gonna ride with Marcelo." She says with a smile and I can smell her vanilla perfume.

I love Vanilla.

"No." I say sternly.

"Dude." Marcelo says while looking at me.

"No." I say again.

Envy sighs but she says okay lowly.

Why is she f*****g upset that she can't ride with him?

"Cheer up sweetheart. I'm hanging with you anyways. It doesn't matter who you ride with." Marcelo says to her. She gives him a smile and then nods.

He walks off to his car.

Enzo gets out and opens the door for her and lifts the seat so she can get in the back with Anex, and Gionni.

"Hello everyone." She says in a bright tone when she gets settled into her seat.

"Morning gorgeous." Anex says flirting with her.

Everyone greets her besides me and Sofia.

I see Gia took what I said seriously.

"So what kind of name is Envy?" Sofia asks Envy as I drive off to our first destination which is a cafe to get food.

"I don't know. The kind my parents gave me." Envy says nonchalant.

"Hmm." Is all Sofia says. Probably upset that she didn't get under Envy's skin with that dumbass question.

We ride to the destination and Envy let's out a loud dramatic sigh.

"What's wrong." Gionni asks her.

"Wellll there's no music." She says

I turn the radio on and it plays some classical music.

"Oh heck no." Envy says.

"Here. Plug my phone in and hit play." She says and passes her phone up.

It gets to me and I plug it in the aux and hit play. The first song that comes on it Chun Li by Nicki.

Of course.

"So I learned some new things in Italian. I stayed up until like 1 trying to practice." Envy says and it sounds like she's proud of herself.

"Let's here it." Enzo says with a chuckle.

"Okay so I learned, Ciao, mi chiamo Invidia. I'm not sure if I should use that word or just say Envy." She says/ asks us.

She said, Hello my name is Envy. Her Italian is horrible.

"You can just say your name." Anex answers her.

"Okay and I learned to say different food items." She says

"You don't have to speak Italian. Most people speak English." Sofia says with an attitude.

"Good to know." Envy says and completely ignores Sofia's attitude.

About 20 minutes later we finally arrive at the cafe.

We get in and immediately all eyes are on Envy. Probably because she's gorgeous and the only black person here.

"Welcome." The hostess says with an attitude and leads us all to a table.

"This is such a beautiful place." Envy says gushing about the Cafe'

"It's okay." Sofia says looking around the place in disgust.

"Its not bad." Marcelo says and smiles at Envy.

"Ciao, my name is Manny. I will be your waiter for the day." The waiter says when he walks up to us.

"What can I start you all with." He says nervously while looking right at Envy.

"I'll have a water with lemon." Sofia says rudely.

"I'll have a Cappuccino." Gia says

"Coke." Anex says

"Sprite." I say

"Same." Gionni says.

"I'll have a Caffe Americano." Enzo says

"Water and black coffee." Marcelo says

"Uhhh do y'all have some type of lemonade or juice." Envy asks shyly.

"We have lemonade." The waiter says with a smile.

"Okay that works for me." Envy says and smiles back at him.

"I'll be back to take your orders." The guy says and walks away.

"So Envy, how old are you." Sofia asks Envy.

"Well I'm 20 and I'm turning 21 next week. I'm excited be-"

She starts and then Gia rudely cuts her off and says

"You're 20 and you work at a bakery as a cashier?"

"Actually I'm a baker." Envy states confidently.

"Makes sense." Sofia says with a chuckle.

"Pardon?" Envy says and she's finally getting offended.

"Don't." I warn both of them. Envy would end up crying, Sofia and Gia would end up telling my grandparents and I'd end up leaving early.

This is my vacation and I want it to be relaxing.

"So Envy how come your single?" Marcelo asks her.

"I don't know. I just don't have a good history with men. I'm not rushing anything." She says to him with a smile.

"Really? You would think with a face like that men would be all over you." He says flirting with her. She chuckles.

"Oh they are. I'm just not into hoes. I like a man that is completely unattached and all about me." She says

I have a feeling that was a shot at me

"So how come you never went out with Kevin again?" Anex asks her.

"Yeah. He said you guys had a good time." Gionni says chiming in.

"I think he was too old for me. He tried to keep up with me at the club but he couldn't so we had to leave early. He also got drunk and started crying about his ex wife." She says with a shrug.

Thank God

"You knew he was married before you went out with him." I say to her.

"Well yeah but I never planned on dating him or anything. I just wanted to have fun. Honestly I didn't even stay with him the whole time. I met this other guy and he kept me company." She says and smiles.

"What guy?" Enzo asks her with a chuckle.

"Can we stop talking about her? Other people are here too." Sofia says with an attitude

"How do you women know Enzo and Armani." Envy asks Sofia and Gia.

"We all grew up together in Italy. When they moved to America we all agreed that whenever they touch down on Italian soil they would be ours again." Sofia says and leans close to me attempting to look sexy.

"So when they are in America they can just f**k around?" Envy says in an amused tone.

"Basically, they've been like this for years. The same gross routine." Anex says with a laugh.

"Yes but we have certain rules. Knowing that we have to get married they can have s*x but no kissing or giving oral to other girls." Gia says and she winks at Enzo who looks completely uninterested.

"So basically they just f**k other woman?" Marcelo says chiming in.

"Yes, we don't though." Sofia says with a smile.

"Can I ask you what makes you think they don't kiss other girls or give head?" Envy asks Sofia curiously.

I literally kissed and gave her head the other day.

"We trust them." Sofia says and grabs my hand.

Envy nods her head and looks at me.

I avoid eye contact with her.

"Well trust is important." Envy says with a shrug not bothering to go on with the conversation.

The waiter comes back over with our drinks and we all order.

The rest of the time Envy is pretty silent while everyone else is having conversations. She's just eating and scrolling through her phone.

"Miss." The waiter says walking over to us while we're eating.

He's looking at Envy.

"Yes." She says and looks at him.

"There's a gentleman over there. He wanted me to give you this." The waiter nervously says and hands Envy a slip of paper.

We all look at the man the note came from and he's some old fat man.

There's no way she's gonna take that number.

"How old are you?" Envy asks the waiter. With a smile on her face and her head to the side.

"24." He says

"Ahh well here's some advice. If a person is interested in someone they should NEVER send someone else to rely the message." She says with a smile.

"W-why not?" He asks and everyone at the table is just listening.

"Because that leaves the messenger vulnerable to either the wrath of the person being perused or the person that sent the message." Envy says and sips her lemonade.

"Envy you're the nicest person ever. You're not gonna be mean to him." Gionni says with a laugh.

"Obviously not but sometimes there's a different issue when it comes to things like this." She says and playfully rolls her eyes.

"What's that issue." The waiter says.

Envy smiles and then pulls a pen out of her purse and takes the slip of paper from him and writes something on the back of it.

"Sometimes we're interested in the messenger." She says and then hands him the paper back.

I know she did not give him her f*****g number.

"B-but I-I." The waiter says looking at the paper and back to Envy.

I am mad right now.

How dare she?!

"You don't want it?" She asks him with her head to the side.

He stutters and stumbles over his words a bit but then he finally settles for nodding at her.

"Good, you can call or text me." She says with a wide smile.

I'm fuming right now. How DARE she give him her number!!

She doesn't even live here. What could they possibly have in common?

"Can we leave now?" Gia asks in a bored tone. Probably because Envy is getting more attention than her and Sofia.

"Yeah baby. I'm ready to have some fun." Sofia says leaning into me.

I'm looking at Envy and she's not paying me and Sofia any mind.

What would it take to make this girl jealous!!?

"So Manny, I've been taught a couple words in Italian. Can you tell me if I'm saying it right?" Envy asks the guy.

"Sure." He says with a smile.

Maybe he'll think she's stupid or something cause her Italian is horrible.

She smiles back and then she says

"Voglio che tu scopi la mia dolce figa finché non riesco più a camminare." She says confidently with a smile.

My eyes widen, Sofia and Gia both gasp in shock. Enzo bursts out laughing, Marcelo chokes on his drink, Gionni looks shocked, and Anex looks mad.

The waiters face is now red.

Why did I teach her that!!

Why did she remember that!!

"What?" Envy says looking confused cause everyone is just staring at her in shock.

She doesn't even know what she just said.

She thought she said " I love this place, it's beautiful."

What she really said was "I want you to f**k my sweet p***y until I can't walk."

"Well I- uh- yeah I um. I get off in like two hours. If you're serious, absolutely." The waiter says and i immediately stand up to attack him.

"Armani." Enzo says and shakes his head at me. He knows I'll f**k him up in front of everyone.

"I'm confused." Envy says looking genuinely confused on what's happening right now. She stands up because now everyone besides her is standing.

"I don't know what you thought you said but you just told him that you wanted him to f**k your sweet p***y until you can't walk." Marcelo says while trying to hide his laugh.

I look at Envy and her face changes from confused into a smile.

What is she thinking?

"Well, that wasn't what I was going for but I'm open to it if you are." She says flirting with the waiter who now has a wide smile on his face.

"We're leaving." I announce loudly and grab Envy's arm dragging her out of the Cafe'

"Stop pulling me! I can walk." She says and snatches her arm from me as soon as me get outside.

"Have you lost you mind!!" I yell getting in her face.

I'm pissed

"It's your fault for teaching me that." She says with a shrug.

She's not wrong.

"After you figured out what it meant you still said you would f**k him." I say with an attitude. I can't even hide my jealousy right now.

"Why are you jealous? Sofia said y'all are supposed to get married. You should be in her business not mine." She says crossing her arms looking me up and down.

"I'm not marrying anyone." I say

"Uh huh. Well as I said before on vacations we're allowed to make mistakes. Watch me make mine." She says with a sexy smile and then winks at me.

As she says that last sentence she walks back in the Cafe'. I follow right behind her

If she's smart she won't talk to that guy.

We get back in and the place is a mess. Enzo has a bloody nose and the waiter is on the floor knocked out.

"What happened?" I ask him

"I walked to the bathroom and I heard him say something negative about Envy. I walked back out and he was at the table taking the pay and I fought him." Enzo says nonchalantly.

I look over at Envy who is crouching down checking on the guy.

She doesn't even know that he was talking s**t about her.

"He was calling you a w***e and you're gonna help him? You're so weak and desperate." Sofia says looking down at Envy in disgust.

"I've been called worse." Envy says and stands up.

I look at her face and she's not smiling. She looks like she's shutting down again.

Just like she did when that guy broke in to the Bakery.

"Let's just leave." Anex says with a sigh. He definitely feels bad for Envy.

We all leave the restaurant and then we go to a couple different places. Envy seems as if she's back to normal but I watch her and her smile doesn't reach her eyes.

I know what I have to do.
