Campbell Vaughn entered the specialty store in Waikiki, not far from the southern coast of the island. It specialized in vintage weapons, as well as antiques created and utilized on the Hawaiian Islands. Campbell had researched similar types of businesses that had storefronts and found this particular one to be the largest. It was also the one closest to the Waikiki luxury hotel that the troop from Spectacular Spectaculaire had stayed in prior to the canyon retreat.
The store featured an impressive display area of weaponry along the back wall. The reproductions of ancient Hawaiian and Polynesian weapons were shielded in glass cases with descriptive price labels. Sizes ranged from pikes twelve feet long, and spears of shorter lengths, to strangle cords made of olona fibers
