Chapter 9
After changing into a clean shirt, Pari returned to the assembled group near the helipad. James and Rosemary had gone to their rooms for the night. Orion and Salvador were pouring more wine into their glasses. In the distance, Bruno and Manami were in a heated discussion, with Manami wildly gesturing her arms as Bruno defiantly shook his head.
"There is eruption number two," Salvador said, referring to the argument and offering Pari a drink that she politely refused. "Neither has thrown wine at each other, however, nor screamed any expletives."
"Not yet," Orion added. "Manami is losing control, though. Bruno is keeping his cool and that is just making her angrier."
"Is all of this melodrama common?" Pari asked.
"Yes, our tempers balance on a high wire," Orion answered,
