“Are you going to stand there to babysit me or something?” I was taken to a huge house which was filled with expensive stuff.
But that isn't my concern. I was dropped on the sofa by Darius and he just disappeared without saying a word and I have a man watching me like I was going to ruin things.
“I'm not babysitting you. I'm Alpha Darius beta. Jason” he said. He was indeed 6 foot tall, green eyes and muscular physique.
His eyes changed color right In Front of me with a second before it changed back to green. I shook in fear with the thought of him devouring me.
“The Alpha wants to see you” I led by him to a room. I got really nervous each step I took. I couldn't tell what awaits me.
The door was open revealing Darius shirtless. I swallowed tucking to the hem of my dress. I didn't know I bit so hard on my lower lip when his voice interrupted. He's so hot.
“Are you done checking me out" I shook my head.
“What… I wasn't..” I stammered so embarrassed to admit.
He drew closer to me and my stomach clenched. It was getting hotter when he's warm hand touched mine.

I remembered myself over and over again. He's just like other guys who are just going to break your heart. That inner couldn't put it down even though my body reacted to his every touch.
I took a step backwards trying so hard to fight it.
“You don't have to fight it. You want me as much as I want you”
“I won't let you trick me this time”
“I'm not Selina. We are mates and we're drawn to each other. You don't have to fight it”
“What do you mean by mates, is it like a girlfriend or a wife or something"
“Yes we share a bond and when we mate, our bond can never be broken” he said behind me, he touched my shoulder and I melted to his touch.
“What happens if we don't mate?” he paused and turned me over to look at him.
“If you reject me Seline. I will die" he paused.
“I'm cursed by a powerful witch” he took my hand and let me touch his tattoo though I thought it was one. It changed to a bright shining color revolving round him in a circle.
My heart was beating so hard.
“What did you do?”
“An Alpha is not scared of making enemies in order to protect his pack..I'm the Alpha of the moonlight pack”
“Alpha”
“Yes”
“Selina” he raised my chin to look at him staring deep into my soul.
“You're the only one who can break my curse of I mate with you and have my pup.”
Is he talking about s*x?
“What if this is just a trick? A way for you to lure me to your bed”
“If I don't mate with you before my 30th birthday I will die”
“ When is that?”
“A week from now”
“What!”
I took a step backwards, it was too much for me.
My last experience is ruling this one for me, I didn't want to rush it and still get broken again. I wanted something genuine even if it meant just for a while. Darius sounded genuine but I still want to be sure.
“I can't help you. This is too much for me. I'm sorry” I tried to walk away when he stopped me.
“I will let you fall in love with me naturally. I won't force you. You're finding it hard to understand my world” I swallowed, taking a quick glance at him and looking away.
He wants me to fall for him, I already but I still have some sides about him, especially when he went after my bestfriend at the bar and what my bestfriend said about him being a woman w***e. I wasn't going to allow my pretty heart to get broken again.
He ran his hand over his head then stopped to look at me.
“Will this be able to convince you?”
I gasped when he changed into his wolf form. A brown gigantic wolf with stripes of white. It was the same wolf who saved me in the woods. He was the one who saved me. I touched his fur before it transformed back to its wolf form.
“You don't have to fight your desire” he whispered to my eyes.
I step away.
“I don't know what I feel, I don't even know if it's real” with that I walked away and headed back home.
I got in only to see Kain sitting at the dining table with two plates of pasta.
“What are you doing here Kain?”
“Bella let me in, I'm here to make it up to you. Have dinner with me?”
Why would Bella let my cheating ex in?
“We are done, Kain. I even fell for your nonsense but guess what I'm getting back myself. Get your ass out of this place”
“Come on Selina, are you going to throw away everything we shared just for a blowy”
“I don't want your cheating self to be around here” I took the pasta and messed it on his expensive suit he gasped. I wasn't going to be that weak innocent girl he manipulated. I know better to control my feelings.
“Get out” I yelled in a hard voice, irritated by his presence, thinking that a plate of pasta was just going to make everything go away. He's full of s**t and I wasn't ready to entertain any of his bullshit.
“Get out” I yelled the second time, breaking one of the plates. I was dead serious this time.
I threw a piece at him which he dodged. He gripped my hand tightly and threw me to the sofa.
