Chapter 2

Selena POV

“Bestie” Bella ran through the phone in a cheerful manner. I glanced around the forest for the second time in search of any black wolf.

My heart was still beating so fast; at least if I was going to die, then someone would find my dead body.

I didn't even know what brought me into the woods. I was deeply hurt, unaware I was putting myself in danger.

“Kain cheated on me, and I'm in the middle of the woods, almost devoured by a wolf,” I said hurriedly.

“Selena You need to calm down. Tell me where you are; I will come get you.”I looked around, but my eyes only caught trees and vegetation.

I never knew I went this far.

“I don't know, Bella.”

“Ok, Selena, take a deep breath.” I did as I was told.

“You have to find your way out of that place as quickly as possible. I will be waiting for you at home.”

The call dropped looking back if I was going to see the wolf that saved me.

I picked up a race, running as fast as I could. I was almost out of breath when I got to the road.

A few cars passed by, and I took the time to calm down a little.

Dumped by my boyfriend and almost got myself killed.

My day won't get worse than this, I mumbled before flailing my hand in the air to stop a cab.

Bella cocooned me in a tight hug when she saw me. I broke down on her shoulder, crying out my eyes.

“ I was stupid waiting for Kain. Probably foolish to love so much but in return got cheated on.” I mumbled.

“Shu..Shu.…everything is going to be alright.” Bella whispered, smoothing my back.We broke off.

“Why don't you freshen up this new bar downtown? We could try it.”I nodded before heading in.

Bella has been my best friend all these years, and she took me in when I had nowhere to go.

She has been nice to me.

“He's just an idiot.” We were sitting on a long wooden chair at the counter.

The music was blasting.Bella ordered some strong drinks, which I was currently downing.

“He doesn't deserve you. You will find a man much better than Kain. He's just a scumbag,” Bella added.

“You know what? I'm just going to enjoy the moment. No boys, just the two of us.” I raised my hand in the air; our glasses clicked together before I took a long sip.

“That's the spirit, girl!” Bella screamed with so much excitement, and that was when I saw him.

I was sure the alcohol was taking its effects on me, but I was too sure, so I rubbed my eyes, and he was still there, staring at him.What's he doing here?

“What is wrong?" Selina asked; she must have noticed my sudden coldness.

I didn't answer her; instead, she raised my eyes and caught sight of him too.

He approached us, and my stomach twisted. Why is he coming here? I tried to look away or something, but I couldn't.

He got closer to us and stretched out his hand.

“Hey.”I tried to take his. I was vulnerable at this state, and all I wanted was the touch of a man.

I was beginning to feel like being a virgin was a curse and every man was just going to leave me.I stuck out my hand almost halfway when he turned to Bella.

It felt so unreal. I felt so humiliated and pained.

“I didn't mean you; I meant your friend.” They stared at each other like they were some sort of romantic couple.

“What? I thought…”

“He doesn't want you, Selina. It's me he wants.” Bella's voice was harsh, and I could see the slits through her eyes.

He took her hand, and they both walked away.For a few seconds I asked myself what just happened.

I felt so used to throwing myself at him just because I broke up with another.

Probably falling in love wasn't for me; I was just going to focus on myself.It felt so hurtful and uncomfortable.

I ran out of the bar as fast as possible, wishing to go somewhere else where there is no sight of a man.

I just hate them.I fumbled my keys out when I heard a voice behind me.

“Pretty girl, where are you going?” My hand shook in fear as I tried so hard to open the car and get away, but my keys fell to the ground.

“Hey, I'm talking to you.” A hand grabbed me from behind.

“Let me go,” I screamed, but not loud enough for someone to come to my rescue.

The music overshadowed my voice, and I knew I was done for.Is this a horrible means to lose my virginity? There wasn't just one but about four.

They wrecked so much alcohol.I clutched myself in a ball, begging for my dear life and praying for someone to come to my rescue.

“I can see you want it rough, right?” I shook my head as hot tears slid down my cheek, my head spinning in two.

This was the worst thing that could ever happen to me.

I wished someone could come out or something, but none came, and my hopes shattered to the floor.

I was almost giving in when one of them tried to rip my clothes apart, but a strong force sent him crashing on the wall.

He groaned in pain. The same with the other two, and I tried to make out the tall figure sticking out his hand.

I was too afraid, clutching myself in a ball with my heavy breathing that could be easily heard. It was too dim to see his face.

“Hey, don't be scared; I won't hurt you.” I knew that voice, the voice of the guy from the forest. But wait, wasn't he supposed to be with Bella?

What is he doing here? Is that his trick? Act like he wants me, diss me right in front of my friend, and now he is saving me.
