“Aim further left!” Brocc cried.
At the top of a castle tower, he pointed at a leg of the cauliflower spider as Frank aimed a grappling hook at it. The hook was built into the castle as a security mechanism.
The cauliflower spider roared. Its giant, bulbous center passed overhead.
Brocc cursed.
“Now!” he cried.
Frank fired.
The grappling hook torpedoed through the air and stuck in the beast’s earthy, soil-filled leg.
The spider felt the sting—a small prick compared to its size—and it begun to turn around.
From the other end of the castle, Celerity fired another grappling hook.
