SAVANNAH "Please go away!" I shouted groggily, feeling exhausted from only getting two hours of sleep while trying to finish the files. "Sav, get up. We're having breakfast," Dad called out from outside my room. "I still want to sleep!" I protested, burying my face into the pillow. Dad entered the room, a concerned look on his face. "You've been up all night again, haven't you?" I looked at him, rubbing my eyes. "Yeah, I had to finish those files for you." Dad handed me his credit card. "Here's my card. Get enough sleep and use it to buy anything you want. There's no limit." "Really?" I asked. "Yes, I need to go now. Make sure to eat before you go shopping," he said, walking towards the door. "Thank you, and take care," I said, before I closed my eyes, finally allowing myself to drift off to sleep again. I woke up to the sound of my cellphone, and when I checked the time, it was almost 4 PM. I noticed a text message from the same unknown number. Mr Handsome so much: Are you free? Of course for you I can make time. To Mr Handsome so much: I just woke up. Give me some time to get ready. Give me more time to get ready, I want to attract you with my beauty. After stretching and getting out of bed, I took a bath, did my makeup, and chose an outfit. Mr Handsome so much: Take your time. To Mr Handsome so much: I'm done, where do you want to meet? As I made my way out of the room and down the stairs, one of our servants saw me and asked if I wanted to eat something before leaving. "No, I'll just grab something outside. Thank you," I replied before heading out the door. As I reached my car, I quickly got in and started to drive. Before long, I received another text from the unknown number. Mr Handsome so much: How about meeting at [LOCATION]? To Handsome so much: Sure, I'll be there. Upon arriving at the cafe, I looked for a parking spot nearby. The city atmosphere was alive with the smell of food from street vendors and the sounds of bustling activity. As I stepped inside, the coffee shop had a stylish and welcoming vibe. It had exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors, and lots of plants, giving it a trendy yet natural feel. The large windows let in lots of natural light, making the space bright and airy. The air was filled with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee. "Miss!" I looked over and saw him waving at me. He looked fine as hell, dressed in a navy blue crewneck sweater, a white t-shirt, light wash denim jeans, and white sneakers. Gosh, is he even for real? I thought to myself as I walked towards him with a smile. "Hi," he greeted me with a smile, gesturing for me to take a seat. At that moment, I knew cupid was real. "Hello," I greeted back, sitting down. "Your outfit looks like you stole the angel wings. They might throw you in hell for that," he said, trying to hold back his laughter. "Excuse me?" I was wearing one of my favorite tops, a beautiful rhythmic appliqued tulle linen and silk-blend gauze top. He should thank the gods for his looks, because the last person who joked about my clothes couldn't open his eyes afterward. "What do you want to drink?" he asked, smiling warmly. "I'll have a Macchiato," I replied. "Okay then, wait for me here," he said as he stood up and walked towards the counter. It seemed like the person behind the counter was his friend, as he quickly received the coffee. "Here's your drink." "Thank you," I replied with a smile. "We haven't introduced ourselves. I'm Kairos, Kairos Aven Marchese," he said, extending his hand. "I'm Savannah Lombardi," I introduced myself, shaking his hand. "Nice meeting you, Savannah," Kairos said. "Nice meeting you too, Kairos," I replied warmly. "Do you have any plans after this? Maybe I can tag along," he asked. You can tag along in my life too, if you want. "Shopping after this," I answered as I drank the coffee. "Sounds fun, can I join?" Kairos asked. "Sure, I won't mind," I replied, grabbing my bag. "Let's go?" "Do you have a car?" Kairos asked as we stepped outside. "Yeah, I parked my car over there," I replied. Sidewalks were busy with people going about their day, and cars zoomed by on the road. Tall buildings towered above us, casting shadows on the sidewalk. The sun was starting to set, casting a warm glow over the scene as we prepared to head out for our shopping excursion "f*****g Porsche, how rich are you?" Kairos asked, teasingly. "You wanna drive?" I asked. "You won't mind if I drive and get us involved in a car crash?" Kairos asked, with a mischievous grin. "Nice try, but I think I'll keep the driving duties to myself," I replied, chuckling. Kairos feigned a look of disappointment. "Fine, I guess we'll have to rely on your expert driving skills then." "Don't worry man, I'll get us there in one piece," I assured him, playfully.
