Gabriel
Cecilia was trembling underneath my touch and her emerald eyes were glistening with unshed tears. The moment she had started scolding me and demanding answers, all I could see was the woman I loved in front of me, giving me the permission to be with her. I had longed for this moment for so long and there it was.
When I pulled her in and kissed her, everything melted away. I didn’t care anymore that she was married, I didn’t care she was Leon’s wife and that Leon was my friend. I didn’t care. All I wanted was her. All of her. And she wanted me. How could I say no to such an opportunity?
“So, when do we start?” She asked a bit breathless.
I laughed. “You, Cecilia, are going to be the death of me.”
She smiled brightly. “Well, let’s hope it’s not anytime soon.”
She leaned in closer to me and I could smell the clean soap scent of her hair and the rose perfume I knew she loved so much. It was a scent that had haunted my dreams for over a year. I never knew how she managed to get such a strong scent to smell light and perfect on her. It suited her perfectly.
“So, when do we start this?” She asked again, leaning in and kissing my jaw. The kiss sent goosebumps down my arms and legs and I wanted nothing more but to have her on top of the patio table. I grabbed her face with my hands and tangled her chocolate hair with my fingers slightly, I pulled gently backwards so I could kiss her deeply. She whimpered softly but leaned back, looking at me with so much lust in her green eyes. Her lips parted just a bit and her breaths were coming out ragged. I pulled her closer to me, ready to claim her claim her once and for all, but before I could even kiss her, there was a loud cough behind us.
I immediately turned to see who stood there and my heart dropped. A pair of brown eyes were looking at me, a thin eyebrow raised and arms crossed over a sky blue dress.
“Aunt Michelle?” I stuttered out. I immediately let go of Cecilia who looked confused and shocked at first but when she saw my aunt, she turned bright red and stepped away from me.
My aunt looked at us carefully. My mother and her were experts at noticing everything, but while my mother did it with grace , delicacy and hidden skill, my aunt had no shame on being open about it. She looked at us both up and down, kept her eyebrow raised and then pursed her lips. She was silent and I swore all you could hear was our breathing.
“Well don’t stop on my account, you both seemed very busy.” She said with a fake smile.
Cecilia took another step away from me and looked down. She had never met my aunt but I had told her that she was a force to be reckoned with. I knew that while Cecilia was brave, she wasn’t THAT brave to speak back to my aunt.
So I smiled and walked towards her. I had to be careful with the situation. “Please Auntie, join us for lunch.”

Cecilia
I tried to calm my racing heartbeat as I sat across from Gabriel and next to his aunt. He had mentioned her before but this was the first time I was meeting her.
He had told me she was an elegant, educated and fierce woman. That she unapologetically herself and carried herself with confidence and attitude. I had admired the idea of such a woman, but now as I sat next to her and she eyed me carefully I had never felt so terrified. She could be dismissed as plain by a quick glance but she was not plain at all- she was beautiful. She had deep brown hair with grey and red glints under the sun, a long narrow nose that fit with her high cheekbones and oval face, full red lips, and long lashes that framed her small brown eyes. Eyes that were exact to Gabriel’s.
I turned to him and he seemed just as uneasy as I felt. He kept his head down and chewed quickly. I had never seen him so tense- he was a composed charming man with a bright smile and kind personality. I didn’t think he could ever feel uncomfortable, but it was a bit amusing to see him so nervous. Of course, I would have enjoyed it more if I wasn’t just as nervous as he.
“Well, are we going to address the issue at hand Gabriel?” Aunt Michelle asked him. She put her fork down and raised an eyebrow. “Or are you suddenly too shy?”
Gabriel’s eyes bulged. “Auntie!”
“What? I did walk in on you basically devouring her.” Gabriel choked on his food and began to cough which was when Aunt Michelle turned to me. “And you my dear, seemed to be in complete bliss. And although I could applaud your boldness in embracing female pleasure so openly, I do think you are married.”
“Auntie! Stop!”
Aunt Michelle glared at me. “Are you not?”
I felt my cheeks go red and I shrunk back into my seat. Usually I spoke back, demanded respect and fought for myself, but in this case I had nothing to say. She was right, and the confidence and need I had arrived with disappeared. She made me feel like a loose woman, a shameful wife and a disgusting being.
Tears began to fill my eyes as I accepted my defeat. “Pardon me, I must head out.” I said slowly getting up and curtsying. “I apologize for this terrible inconvenience.”
I didn’t look up but I felt Gabriel hold onto my elbow. “No Cecilia please don’t go!”
“Let her go Gabriel!” His Aunt demanded.
I wiggled out of his grasp and basically ran out of the house. My carriage was already waiting for me and I jumped in.
“Please go!” I cried at the driver. “Just leave this place please!”
The driver nodded and began to drive away quickly. But not quickly enough because I could hear Gabriel running after the carriage and shouting my name and begging me to come back to him.
