CHAPTER 9 Howard parked a block from his office, feeling lucky to find even that space. He was looking forward to seeing his nephew again. Last time, Martin had been just a kid. After he crossed the pavement and walked the few steps to his office door, he looked up and found himself staring almost nose to nose with a man probably in his early forties, of average height and build, neatly dressed, with nondescript brown hair and a bristling mustache – like he was wearing a hairbrush, thought Howard, who didn’t particularly approve of facial hair.
