After ordering drinks and acquiring from their perplexed waiter some blank paper, each began to write out his copy of the list.
“Ok,” suggested Helen, “write down numbers one through six for each of the murder incidents.
“Eddie asked, “You mean, one for each victim?”
“No, well, not for now, anyway. I think we should list the Boyds in one slot, even though it was really two victims. I think we have to look for a pattern within the incidents themselves.”
“What about that decorator, Crawford?” questioned Eddie. “Doesn’t he count?”
