My whole face heated up. Easton grabbed my hand and led me to the passenger seat. He opened the door for me and helped me buckle my seatbelt.
“Done hating me yet?”
I glanced at him sideways.
“I’m not sure.”
A small smile appeared on his lips before he shut the door and walked around the Camaro to slide behind the wheel. The moment he turned on the engine, headlights suddenly flooded the car from behind.
I frowned and turned my head slightly.
The sound of several car doors slamming made me jump.
My heart dropped the second I recognized Nate stepping out of the vehicle with several other guys behind him. Chad was among them. The others carried bats, pipes, and something that looked like a metal crowbar.
“Oh my God…”
Every trace of amusement vanished from Easton’s face.
